    Two separate accounts I need to merge


    So I have two separate personal Microsoft accounts that I would like to somehow merge. One that was created with the old Xbox Live family a gold subscription, @xboxlivefamily.com is the address it uses, Then I have a second account @outlook.com. I want to keep the email part of the second account but keep the Xbox games, gamerscore, friends, and gamertag of the Xbox account as I can't receive emails from Microsoft on the @xboxlivefamily.com account, and my gamertag on the family account is now too long for the new gamertag scheme. I also have many games on the Xbox account that I would not like to loose, but have many important emails on the outlook I need and would like to hold onto.

    The accounts remain separate, if you want to transfer content from 1 account to another, this old account will be completely deleted.

    Unfortunately you can't merge two Xbox Live accounts; their information and properties are part of two separate entities.

    That is a legit page but the title is misleading, as it does not contain information on how to merge accounts.

    Rather what the article describes is swapping the names of the two existing accounts.

    At the end of the process you will still have two completely separate accounts with two separate names, not one combined account.

    Your Microsoft Account is your Xbox Profile and Minecraft profile, they can't be unliked and linked to another account.
