    Two questions 'Xbox One X Enhanced' game features on Xbox One S


    Hello,

    I have an Xbox One S that is currently running at 120hz at 1080p with a compatible freesync Monitor.

    Is it possible to play 'Xbox One X Enhanced' games on Xbox one S with limited features? For example, I read that Titanfall 2 - 'Xbox One X Enhanced' is optimized to utilize higher resolution and faster frame rate.

    Is it possible at this time to allow Xbox One S users to unlock the faster frame rate portion of Xbox One X Enhanced games? It seems rather silly to be able to run 120hz in the console but are still relegated at playing on 60fps.

    I may have been under the impression that by running 120hz all my game's frame rate would follow suit or given a slight boost, however that is not the case. Some clarification at this time, would be very appreciated. Thank you.

    An Xbox One S will not download the game enhancements for an Xbox One X.

    As it clearly states in the store "Xbox One X Enhanced", not Xbox One S.

    any game you find that is HDR on the Xbox One X is also HDR on the Xbox One S
    Is that official?

    HDR is an "Xbox One X Enhanced" feature for those games, that's official words.

    For example Rise of the Tomb Raider, NO HDR on Xbox One S.

    HI,

    This an Xbox One X enhanced game. But to get the enhancement you'll need either a Xbox One X or either one of the newer Series X|S machines. The Series S is a digital only console though.

    On an original Xbox One or One S, it will be the BC 360 game with no enhanced graphics.

    You'll get access to an enhanced version regardless of disc or digital, but you need the right console to be able play the enhanced version.
