Two of my headsets won’t work with my elite controller, but the other two won’t.

I own an Xbox One S, and got a new headset today for christmas, a Corsair gaming headset that came in a bundle with a mouse, mousepad, keyboard and headset, all Corsair. It worked fine whenever i used it, until later today, when all of a sudden it wouldn’t
work. I was playing a game, unplugged it for at most 5 minutes, then plugged it back in and the headset wouldn’t work. I figured I just had
[Mod removed- inappropriate] luck and would have to deal with being upset about breaking a new headset, so I grabbed my Turtle Beach headset I got last year, but when I plugged it in, it didn’t work either.

With both headsets, I can hear game audio, party audio, and even the different levels of mic monitoring I have set for the headset, but for some reason neither of the mics on the headsets will allow me to speak in a party or game chat, even after unplugging
and plugging in the mic and/or headset multiple times.

I usually would then be upset thinking that it was the controller, and I would have to replace the elite controller, but when I plugged in an old chat headset I got last year at first by turtle beach (only a $25 headset with one ear piece and mic), it works
perfectly fine and the mic can pic up my audio.

Comments, Recommendations, and/or Solutions appreciated.

I’m going to try with a few other headphones and will try the headsets with either another controller or something to test if it is the mics on both headsets that have somehow broken at the same time, but other than that I have no idea what to do...
