    So, i have a microsoft account i set up on my xbox one x about a month ago... the xbox died and has been refurbished with a new motherboard and returned. I was unable to back up my profile on an external drive as when it died it did not function.

    I went to set up the returned xbox and inadvertently created a second microsoft account even though i entered the email address and password i thought i had set up originally.

    i cant access my original account at all, ive tried everything, the new account and gamer tag just pops up which of course does not have my live gold subscription.

    can anyone point me in the right direction to delete the unwanted second account and rescue the original please?

    go to
    https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us

    Select Billing & accounts in the category area

    Select See other options

    Select How to protect my account

    Select Show contact options

    Select Request a call from Support
