Two games one console and laptop

My grandchildren have xbox one between them and gold live, female wants to play one game on laptop, whilst male is on console and playing another game.

Can this be achieved with seperate live accounts and one Home console.

    :)

Streaming games with offline router ?

Good morning, I would like to ask about the function of streaming games between Xbox One S and a laptop with Windows 10. I understand that I get better image quality by connecting consoles and laptop using cables
    connected to the same router.
The question arises whether the router must be connected to the internet?
Is it enough to have an "offline" router connected to the power supply, with two ethernet cables, one for the console and the other for the laptop?

More of a question for the PC side of the forum really

Though the first thing anyone would need to know is how much you are wanting to spend on this laptop.

As a general rule laptops don't tend to be that good for gaming unless you are willing to pay a lot for one.

Yes. Gold is not required to play online through the Laptop so the Home setting wouldnt matter. The game she is playing would either need to be a game that is purchased for the PC or it would need to be a Play Anywhere title which can be purchased and played
on either the One or PC.

As long as you're playing different games, it should be possible on PC/Laptop.

If you could provide more insight into what you're planning to do, as it might be a bit problematic to control two games at the same time, maybe we can give you a better answer to your question.

On console, you can only be signed into one console of the same generation with one account. And if you're playing a Play Anywhere title like for example Sea of Thieves, you can't play the game on your Laptop/PC if you're already playing the game on your
    console.

    Perfect.

    Thank you RedCarGamer.

That will make a happy father and two sons.
I have many kids, and I too am a gamer who doesnt want to be left out of the fun. While it is not a perfect system and is one of the things I think MS can do better on, the work-around I have is as follows.

I set my son's console as the Home console. Despite what others have said here, it does not truly matter which console the games are purchased on. Home console trumps all as I will explain in a moment. I set my sons up with their own account, and I set my account
as the parent account to them. Then on the home console, I click to share my gold. On my console, I have all my games, and on my kid's console I have the games I consider appropriate for their age group. Since their console is set as the home console, they
can now play any of the games I have installed there even when offline. Sadly, I must always be online on my console in order to play anything, which is the fail side. The other fail side is you can really only do this with 2 consoles, so if you have more
kids and consoles you are up **** creek without a paddle.

The other users here are absolutely correct about disc based games...you must have that disc in the drive to play the game if it was installed by disc, which requires you to have multiple copies of the game. If you do as I do, you can use the father's account
to purchase the games digitally on his xbox, then install them on the Home console where your kids things are. Some games I bought exclusively for them, so it is only on their console, while some I bought exclusively for me, and is only on my console. Some
I bought for all of us and are on both consoles. Using this method you will be able to share the experience for the most part. I do hope MS changes this to at least allow up to 4 consoles at a time. Many games do not support same console couch play, and even
those that do can be problematic to some of us who do not do well with split screen, or who have many kids of differing ages who do not always share well and get along the best, or want to do the same things. In this regard, it can be very limiting and you
should consider this. The only choice I will have at some point if they do not change this is to ween my kids to their own respective accounts with their own respective game licenses, which would be costly. I also do not like that if the internet is out I
    cannot use my console.

At any rate, I hope this was thorough enough to answer all your questions and help you out. Good luck and happy gaming!
