    When I got my xbox one, i was given the default gamertag . I went to update it to my new gamertag 'smitler', and it worked for MY xbox. when I tried signing in to my account on my computer, it still shows my old gamertag. i waited a year and
    it still hasnt updated. Even when i made an account on my friends xbox, it uses '' when i enter my details, and not the name i updated it to; 'smitler'. The gamertag 'smitler' only shows on MY xbox, which is the console i did the gamertag update
    on, any time i sign in using my details anywhere else it still shows as '', and doesnt have any of my games from my library. It wasnt that much of an issue until today. I went to buy black ops 2 on MY xbox (smitler), and it wouldnt work for
    some reason. So i went and bought it on my laptop on the xbox website, and it said the game will appear on my console. It hasnt appeared on my console and i checked my profile online, it was purchased under '', meaning it wont show on my xbox
    at all as my xbox is the only console that my gamertag actually updated on. it is super frustrating as no one seems to be able to help. i want to know how i can fix it or get a refund for the game i bought that i am unable to play due to a stupid glitch!

    Two accounts under the same Email address?

    The most likely answer to this is that the email on the xbox is different,

    support.xbox.com/.../forgot-microsoft-account

    I would follow the steps on that site and just double check the email, then check the spelling as well to be sure it isn't just a letter off or something

    I just bought a pc and have a couple of games that use a Windows live account. I have already got a pre-existing xbox live account so I just used the login details from that to try to log in to windows live. It worked and retrieved my account, or so I thought.

    It now looks as if I have two accounts under the same email address. When I log in to xbox live I have 10000+ GP, a friends list and a few MS points in the bank. If I log in on a pc game or at the Xbox live website I have 200 GP, no friends and no MS points.
    In both cases I am logging in with the same username and password.

    I'm sure there are already posts discussing this sort of thing but I havn't been able to find any. If anyone can shed light on this I would be most appreciative.

    Basically my problem is that I want my Gamerscore to benefit from the windows games I'm playing. Is this actually the case or are achievements etc. tracked seperately for xbox / pc?

    With regards to your concern, may I ask if you are playing the game via Xbox console or is this for a Minecraft PC, mobile version?

    For Xbox, if you own the Xbox version of Minecraft you have the option to share the game to all users on the same Xbox via Home Xbox feature. Once you set a console as the Home Xbox, the game license will be shared to all users so you won't need to buy the game for the other account.

    In addition to this, if you are not sure what email address is associated to your gamertag you can visit https://account.microsoft.com/profile page to manage your email address. You will then find here what is the email alias, then you may check what gamertag it is associated via https://account.xbox.com/profile page.

    Sorry to hear about your issues with the account migration for Minecraft. It sounds like there is just an account association issue with what Microsoft account has your license for Minecraft on it.

    I would recommend checking out the following article here for a possible solution directly from the Mojang team. If the article itself cannot provide a solution, use the Report a Concern button on the bottom of the page to open a ticket with the team directly. They have the resources available to figure out where the disconnect might be and get you back up and running.

    I have a xbox ultimate account with BT, and it is registered against gamertag G*****, bt I have a second gamertag e**** . Both have the same email address But I cannot change from e***** to g******* to access my pass. It only logs me into e****. Can you help?
    It is not possible to have two xbox live accounts (gamertags) under the same email address.

    Your emails might be VERY similar but they can't be exactly the same.

    If i were to try and create another xbox live account (gamertag) under my existing email itll tell me i cant because an account already exists under that email.
