Two gamertags on my account.

I have two gamer tags for some reason, one is elxara and it shows in my party chat, xbox app, lfg posts and all the like, but i also have one called that shows in my games. Also, when i look at my profile, it shows both of these tags.
is the tag that i changed to recently, whereas elxara was one that i had months ago. Does anyone know how i can fix this and just have as my tag that shows everywhere?

with the gamertag changes that microsoft recently introduced they say that the gamertag may appear in certain situations for a few months until all the changes have been made, then the old gamertag will be removed.

Hello Gothitelle,

Thanks for coming to the forums. This is a known issue and is being worked on. The gamer tag will show correctly in future update. So please be patient while they do work on the issue, as it will be resolved as soon as they can get it fixed.

I was worried that my tag would revert back to my previous one, i hope that isnt the case. I guess i’ll have to wait and hope it’s able to eventually update.

It's a common issue that popped up after the update to name changes. Lots of people have been having it from what I've read on Reddit. Seems like it's something on the backend that needs to be fixed.
