    Two Gamertags attached to same email


    I somehow have two different gamer tags. The one that signs me in on the xbox one is the one I always use. However, when I log in to the xbox forum, it shows a different gamer tag. How do I change the gamer tag on my online Microsoft account. The profile
    shows the same email address. The Xbox one app on windows 10 uses the same tag as the console so I have no problem play on my computer. The gamer tag that is associated with this posting, KinglyNut29, is the wrong one.

    Ah, so your saying those two different gamertags are attached to the same email? Are you sure your Gates email account is not just forwarding to the Mountaineer email?

    You might want to double check that. The only time you can have the same email attached to two accounts is when its really the parent email over a child account or the email has been disassociated from the gamertag and attached to a new one. Phone support
    is likely your best bet if its been associated to a new gamertag.

    Ah, so your saying those two different gamertags are attached to the same email? Are you sure your Gates email account is not just forwarding to the Mountaineer email?

    Sorry to hear about your issues with the account migration for Minecraft. It sounds like there is just an account association issue with what Microsoft account has your license for Minecraft on it.

    I would recommend checking out the following article here for a possible solution directly from the Mojang team. If the article itself cannot provide a solution, use the Report a Concern button on the bottom of the page to open a ticket with the team directly. They have the resources available to figure out where the disconnect might be and get you back up and running.

    Correct, you would need to create a new WLID to attach to the gamertag you are posting with here. You cannot have the same WLID attached to two different gamertags.
