Two gamer tags on one Microsoft account

Can someone please help me?

My son has an Xbox 360 and got the Xbox One for Xmas.

I am his mother, he is only 9, he is currently unable to buy stuff on his Xbox one because the parental controls need adjusting. I have logged in to do this but it says he is not in my family. When I go back to the 360 I can see a gamertag but can't log
in. We have managed to deduce that I now have 2 gamer tags with the same e mail address. I have re set the password etc but can only log into the Xbox one gamertag

can anyone help me? My son is getting very upset

Microsoft Account not Associated with my Gamertag

I just bought an Xbox one and it asked for my Microsoft account log in upon initial boot up. It randomly generated a gamer tag for me. I have an existing gamer tag that apparently isn't associated with my Microsoft account. I need help integrating the two

Family account

The progress is linked to your gamer tag. I did for my son when we got him an account of his own. After you do one or two it goes pretty quick. This was the only way I ever found to transfer a game save to a different gamer tag. I mainly did it with some saved worlds he had on Minecraft. If he's only a few levels in it's probably easier to let him replay the levels. Then the progress will be saved on his gamer tag.

If that doesn't work I have to advise you to contact Xbox Support, they should be able to confirm if the cause is the two accounts on one email address and also on how to proceed on how to fix the issue(s).

hello there,

so i have two xbox accounts. one, an old account under a non-Microsoft email address. and two, an newer one with a Microsoft email address.

So as i understand it, you can't merge accounts so instead i want to bring the gamer tag i have for my old account and make it the gamer tag of my newer account.

is this possible? im happy to delete my old account but i want make sure for certain my newer gets the gamer tag and not someone else.

no this does not work the only thing you can try to do is to change your old name and try to claim it with your new account

Im in same situation but turns out I entered me email incorrectly when made the account I think but everytime I'm on the phobe one the line goes **** or I get attitude. All I want is access to my new gamertag and get rid the wrong email and put new one I can confirm my card details when I purchased dlc and game pass the lot need help
