Two gamer tags linked to the same email (2019)

gamertag seems to be showing and working fine on Xbox Live on various consoles, but is displaying a different gamertag on other linked services like Mixer. Unfortunately as already stated, there is nothing we can do about this account issue on the forums since

No i am still online and have been, its not allowing me to access my account through anything else. Only the couple Xbox consoles on my house. Not able to transfer or log into mixer, xbox.com with my gamertag.

So if you sign into your Console using the one email address and then jump onto a different device and sign into
www.account.xbox.com using that same address, does it give you two seperate accounts or are you seeing the same gamertag?

The system would not allow for two separate accounts to be created using one email address. It is possible that the primary email is also set as a secondary email to another account so you are seeing the same email attached to both accounts.

When you are attempting to update your primary alias on the account, the new email address that you would be using could not be attached to any other Xbox account, in this case it sounds like it is which is why it is not allowing you to update the alias.

I personally ran into a similar issue with an old account, i could not remember the alias that i used so i had to contact Xbox support to get some assistance. After completing a few verification steps with support i they were able to provide the email address
that i was using for the account, which was way different than what i had originally thought, It's possible this may be the case here.

I would advise that you
Contact Support again as we are unable to properly assist with this issue through the forums, hopefully they are able to review your accounts properly and provide further assistance.

If you have already gone as far as to speak with official support multiple times there isn't much that can be done from these forums. My only advice would be to continue working with support as they are the ones who would have access to your account info.

But they claim to escalate this problem and its up to the the service techs and i will receive a call back and it never happens. A month ago they just up and closed my case without even a follow up. I mean how can this company work like this. Its so sad,
back when 1-800-4MYXBOX was a thing service was much better no offense i appreciate the reply and all of the feedback but sometimes i feel as if this problem is not taken care of seriously enough.
