  1. Two Faulty Xbox One Day One Edition Consoles and Now Controller Failure

I am beginning to lose patience with Microsoft now. The first day one edition console had to be sent back to the vendor after the kinect failed, got a refund bought a second console only for that to stop reading discs after 24 hours. Sent in console for
repair (not replacement). I find it disgusting that Microsoft will only replace your console if you take advantage of the Advanced Replacement Scheme. They assume everyone has a credit card to be able to do this. I am currently on long term sick for no fault
of my own so cannot afford to have a credit card for this scheme. My console has been repaired and is on it's way back from Germany. Now my Day One Edition controller has started to get very loose and the analog sticks are also loose and unresponsive as
they should be. If i want the controller replaced I have to send it to the Czech Republic at my expense which costs over £15. Sony replace all consoles and accessories free of charge and you don't even pay for the postage, Microsoft have the audacity to make
me pay for an item that is clearly not for for purpose.

Sending the controller back to the vendor is not an option as he/she has no stock and is unwilling to pay for a new controller. As an Xbox gamer of 13 years I am appalled by Microsoft's blatant lack of customer service and willingness to replace fault hardware/peripherals.
Thought I would share my experience with people on here. The twitter Live Support is a joke and passes the buck to phone support who also are unwilling to help. I shall not be purchasing any more Microsoft products until they sort this mess of hardware problems.
Seriously Microsoft you will lose all of your diehard fans including myself unless you shape up. No wonder PS4 is outselling Xbox One 2-1.

  2. Faulty Day One Edition Controller

I have started having issues with my Xbox One Day One Edition controller. The issue that I am having is that the B button is sticking.

I have contacted Microsoft Support and they want me to send the controller back to the Czech Republic and be without the controller for the next 20 working days. If your like me, then you'll only have 1 controller.

I was initially told that this would be covered under the Advanced Exchange program and that I was to send the faulty controller back one I received the new one.

Now though, Xbox have changed their story. I have to now incur the tracked postage charges from the UK to the Czech Republic and be without a console and controller for the next month. I find that totally unacceptable. The customer service from Microsoft
is disgusting. The should be doing everything they possibly can to keep me satisfied. You pay £500 for a console and games and the support you get is appalling.

They should be sending out remote controls to you and then return the faulty one within 14 days.

They suggested I speak to the retailer, but as this is a Day One Edition console with a commemorative controller, the retailer are not going to be able to replace with another Day One Edition.

I just wanted to let you all know what to expect if you have problems with the controller, even within a month of purchase. Don't expect to get any sort of reasonable resolution without causing significant inconvenience or cost to yourself.

    x24hrs2livex,

Its not a case of not wanting to do so. How would you feel if you were told you would be without your controller and unable to play your console for 1 month, when the console itself is less than 1 month old? I think its ridiculous and appalling service from
    Microsoft.

Its not as though I have another controller to actually play the console with, so I am unable to play a console that I have had for less than 1 month and have to wait for another month before I would get a replacement controller. You can't say you would
    be happy with that.

Go to a retailer that sells the Xbox one and accessories and purchase a controller for you to use while your day one game pad is being serviced. Make sure to keep your receipt so that you can return it, usually within 30 days, for a full refund. Obviously
you will want to make sure the store you visit has such a policy but I believe that is common to most of them now. The downside is that you'll be out some money but you'll get it right back at least. Best of luck.

I cant say I would be happy. But what I can say is that if you dont want to go buy another one, and sending the controller back is your only other option I am not seeing a problem. You could buy a new controller while you wait. For some reason that is not
an option. Whether ita lack of money, holiday season or just principals. But Microsoft is offering to fix the controller just not as fast as you would like. Now you need to look at this from Microsofts point of view. You proposed sending the controller back
within 14 days of receiving it. What happens if they dont get it? Now they are out 54 bucks but you have two controllers.
