    Two different xbox live accounts with just one email address


    Hi, I got two different xbox live accounts on my mail address.

    I use gmail as my mail provider, and it seems like the writing of the mail address in ...gmail.com or ...googlemail.com got me the different accounts. Tecnically seen its the same address, so is there a possibility to merge the xbox live accounts together

    A question I have about Xbox Live

    A question I have is when I sign in on my Xbox 360 to my Xbox Live account in the top right corner it shows your emblem along with a rotation of my gamertag name, achievement numbers, money I have on my account, and my email address linked to the account. But for some reason it doesn't show my email address when it's rotating through and instead just shows blank nothing until the next thing comes up in the rotation when it should show my email address in the rotation.

    How to Change your Xbox LIVE account information

    Overview

    It is possible to change information associated with your Xbox LIVE account like your name, address, phone number or email address.

    Note: You cannot change the country that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account. If you have moved to another country and you would like to access Xbox LIVE from there, you have to create a new Xbox LIVE account in your new location.

    How to Change your name, address, phone number or email on Xbox.com

    1) Go to My Account and Sign In with your Microsoft Account. (This is the email and password that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account).

    2) Make the changes you want to your billings account information and then click Save.

    How to Change your name, address, phone number or email on your console.

    1) Sign in using your Xbox LIVE gamertag.

    2) Proceed to Settings, and then select Account.

    3) Select Your Information, and then go to Billing Information.

    4) Sign In with your Microsoft account password.

    5) Change your billing account information and then click Done.

    In case you want to change the billing name on your Xbox LIVE account, go to Xbox.com

    i have two accounts that have the same emails same password but one i use primary and the other i made by accident but when i try to login to my main account it logins to the account made on accident.

    I have two accounts with identical email addresses and passwords, one of which I use for my Xbox and the other of which I created accidentally, but when I attempt to log into my primary account, it logs into the accidental account, and I'm not sure what to do.
    There has to be some sort of slight difference in the emails. Even if its just a very minor difference.

    Its not possible to have two different Microsoft/Xbox accounts under the same exact email address.

    How else would it know what account to log you into if it allowed you to have two accounts under the same email? It just wouldn't.

    The only time where an email address can be used as a sign in email address for two Xbox accounts is when there is something wrong. You cant have the same email address as the sign in on two accounts.

    If you want to switch the email to a different account then you will need access to the two accounts.

    This isn't necessarily true. My Origin account email address is different from my Xbox Live account email address. This alone does not automatically link up the two accounts.

    to change the email address connected to your xbox live account (used for loggin in and downloading the profile etc), please follow the steps on this link:

    support.xbox.com/.../switch-gamertag-to-different-microsoft-account

    If there are currently somehow two profiles connected to the same email address (Microsoft Account) try changing one of the accounts to another Microsoft Account (email address) that might fix the issue

    As additional information

    there can only be one xbox live account connected to an email address, so to create a different xbox live account you will need to use a different email address.

    Also be aware that a gold subscription is per account and is needed for online game play.
