Two Different versions of Final Fantasy 13

As I can't find any information on the net about it, I would tell you to use the "standard" one if that is the one you have available all the time.

Yes it would, like Final Fantasy 13, and Final Fantasy 13-2, the first was 3 discs, the second was 1 disc, because of this, but you will notice a difference, especially on dedicated rendered CGI style videos.

I second the Lost Odyssey recommendation it is made by the creator of Final Fantasy, BUT any Final Fantasy type RPG is going to be vastly different from boderlands, combat is more hands off, you don't actually run up and attack enemies. You select what kind
of attach you want to do and what enemy to do it too, and the computer does the attack, and the combat is turned based not real time. I'd recommend a Fallout game(3 or new Vegas) exp gaining, storyline you can find and equip new weapons and armor. Back to
Final Fantasy if you want to know what is going on get the oldest one, Final Fantasy 13, the other two Final Fantasy games on Xbox 360 are sequels to 13 and continue the storyline started with 13.

Yet if you do look at the games that were developed with the PS3 in mind, they look pretty damn incredible. uncharted and final fantasy 13 were two of the most beautiful looking games of the generation. Meanwhile most Halo games are not even 720p let alone
1080p. Same goes for the 360 version of Final Fantasy even spread across three discs.
