Two bar connection on xbox one

I have been getting a two bar connection on my xbox one for the past few days now. I have tried resetting my router but it doesn't help. But all my other products. iPad, brothers ps4, and family ipad is connecting fine and are running fine. It is just
my xbox. Is there any way to fix this problem. Thanks

Hey there, tanker292. Thanks for bringing your question to the forums and for posting such thorough information about what you have tried! To start, I would recommend 1 mbps up for optimum online gaming.

In addition, did you enable UPnP and port forwarding simultaneously? If so, I would only recommend using one or the other but not both. Can you take a look at this support article titled "Issues
with Connection Speed or Disconnects" and try some of the troubleshooting steps there?

Just checking your connection doesn't always help it to change the NAT type.

doing what i said tricks it into thinking it has become open. in true fact my solution doesn't open the NAT 100% it just a trick, even though it says open its still strict/mod however the games go on what that information tells it allowing you to play

I think you are talking on a bad wireless connection? If so, please be aware that a wireless connection is affected by lots of influences from your environment and also the placing of the console.

So please check if it gets better when replacing the One to a different spot. Please check also if it gets better when only the One is connected wirelessly and not simultaneously with the PS4 die example.

If possible in any way, I'd always prefer to use a wired connection at all.

Then why am I the one with full bars and the people lagging have one or two bars

My connection is so bad I'm never the host and I still play on a two-bar connection every day. It's really not that bad considering I played both COD4 and WaW on a red bar connection 95% of the time. Guess I am used to it.

^^I have had great "connections" within a lobby with a two bar and lagged in a lobby with 4 bars, weird. MOST of the time my connections are OK, thank goodness. I think the OP is just getting normal "LAG".

We play on wireless connections, no cords. They (splitscreened) start the game, I join their game. When the lagging starts, it's only me that lags, they play on with four bars. Maybe I should hook the ethernets back on....

If I start the game, then the whole game will lag, and eventually connection will be lost.

Played last night and it happens on live too. One guy in the lobby started with four green bars, at level 18 when the game ended he only had two yellow bars. In the same game, my bars were bouncing from three green to one orange and back and forth.
