Twitter on Xbox ONE?

Um, isn't there a Twitter app? I've searched and it's not there. Major Nelson showed a way to share game clips via Twitter, but the Twitter option is not there on mine. Do I just sign in on internet explorer?

Where can I find it? Thanks.

I have to say that I am glad the focus of their studios are new IP. But if MS has any IP, such as Halo, Gears, etc. that they want to remaster they could get a studio capable of quality work to bring them over with some polish. And really, these would
be great "gifts" for the community and I would say could help move consoles. Yeah, they could make some and sell them but the overall effect of a few free ones could be huge. Then there would be no reason to argue about these remastered games taking away
resources from new IP and new games although I am sure there would be a lot of complaints about it anyway.

any news on twitter... need to check my tweets but cant get on xbox for some reason...

 

You share clips on Twitter the exact same way you share them to your activity feed, through a message, or to your showcase. Twitter's a new option right alongside those. Simply press the menu button while a clip is highlighted or playing and go to share;
a sub-menu will then pop-up with those options, Twitter included. If you have not used Twitter on the console before, you may be prompted to sign into your Twitter account or to go to the website via the IE app in order to sign up if you are new to Twitter.

 

That's the thing, the option to share via Twitter in the pop-up sub-menu was absent on mine. I haven't used Twitter on my console yet though. I assumed it was an app like it is on my phone. I'll sign in on IE through the console first to see if that works.

 

I never signed in to twitter before sharing a clip. I had the option to share, and then it asked me to sign in with my username and password. I do notice sometimes the share feature doesn't work for me right after I make the clip. I can't even share it to
my activity feed. But I come back an hour later and it works fine. Weird.

 

Odd. The option should be there even if you haven't signed in yet. Did signing in on IE help?

I kind of wish there was a Twitter app. Unlike the 360 version that didn't really work out, X1 could have the option to have your timeline snapped.

 

Yeah, I'm not sure why it's not on mine unless they don't have it available in Ireland. I'll try signing in through IE when I get home tonight and let you know. Thanks.

yeah I have to wait to share on my twitter too, no problem though at LEAST they are able to be shared, since I have my tweets go directly to my timeline on facebook too!

You can still SHARE on twitter if your Canadian AT least I can share my clips via twitter an Im Canadian..

 

Fellows is there a twitter app where I can just read my twitter? I can get twitter to work via the internet explorer but couldn't find a app like I used on the 360. I am not interested in twittering game clips, just would like to read my feed and maybe send
a tweet or two.

 

I had the same issue Brand, now that I see US only, I guess that's why.

I'm sure it will come eventually, maybe?

 

Im not sure what is going on here. Ive shared clips to twitter straight from the X1.(Australia)

 

If there is a Twitter App for Xbox 1, perhaps it's US only, maybe you could change your Locale setting on the Dashboard to US. Hey Xbox, I'm American. kk, here's this app for you, enjoy. I'm NZ and sometimes change my locale to Australia which is only 2
hours behind NZ, only because M has Voice Commands Locked for NZ locale.

I don't have a twitter account or facebook account. My parents and some older peps say Facebook isn't as secure as Xbox Live and twitter. I do have a Youtube channel, Google and Yahoo! account though. And now Skype only because the only way to video chat
on Xbox 1 is through another Microsoft division aka Skype. I would still welcome a twitter app. If Microsoft or Google owned Twitter, I would maybe sign up to it, since I trust M and G with my personal info. As for game clips, I prefer doing it on Youtube
than anywhere else. I still have two or three clips which my Xbox 1 recorded until I learned to turn the thing off on the Dashboard. But I'm keeping those clips on my profile. Just want to avoid any more "surprise" clips.
