Twitch won't broadcast on Xbox One X

So, I have been trying to get support from this from the Xbox support twitter and they don't know.

Every time I go to stream on twitch, it comes up with a message saying, “please snap Twitch to access broadcast features” with two buttons underneath saying, “Snap Twitch” and “Home”. Obviously, I have tried clicking the “Snap Twitch” button but with no
avail, however the “Home” one works.



At first, thought it could be a problem with twitch so tried their FAQs and tried everything they suggested.

- Uninstalled, deleted the save data and reinstalled the app

- Hard reset the console

It didn’t work, so thought I would contacted the Xbox support twitter and they said to do the same thing. So, I did…

Still nothing worked…

So, as I didn’t trade in my old Xbox one when I got the new X. So, I thought I’d try my account on there. To my surprise, it worked!

The only difference between the two consoles, was that the X was on the preview program. So, I took myself off the preview program, put everything onto my external hard drive and wiped my console.

Still, it doesn’t allow me to snap the broadcast part for Twitch to allow me to stream!

Is there anything I’ve missed?

"Xbox Broadcast" - How To Use?

I'm having the same exact issue.

Tried on many games, reinstalled twitch. Kinect is showing the "Broadcast" option but it won't broadcast.

 

Is There a Minimum Broadband speed to use Twitch with!

Did you use the command "Xbox... Broadcast"? If not, do that to get the Twitch app up and running for you to begin broadcasting.

Thanks for all the info. That is really weird that it’s not allowing you to snap it. For me personally, it works but I have just the regular Xbox One not the Xbox One X. It looks like you have tried everything I would suggest though! It looks like you’ve
tried everything here: Xbox Broadcasting and Troubleshooting in
the troubleshooting section. If you’re still having this issue, I’d also reach out to Twitch Support if you haven’t already.

 

Odd that it is giving you such a hard time. They may still be working out the kinks since it is an app Preview though. You may want to contact MS Tech Support directly for help on this one.

 

Thank you for responding, however... this is where I struggle. I'm in the UK and there isn't a Microsoft store for me to get to to discuss it. I can't find any numbers that I can use to get in contact with Microsoft.

Trying to navigate the "Contact Us" section is a nightmare and I'd rather not go down the route of "sending for a repair" option if I don't have too.

Any idea where I can find a number or email I can get in touch with them?

Ah no, your response passed me by and only saw Saeleths. Sorry and thanks for your response. I have gotten in contact with them too. They seem a little stumped by it too.

Hopefully someone from Microsoft has some idea of my issue... haha!

Hello Warder,

When did you opt out of the preview program? It will not take you out immediately, it does on the next major update. If it has been a week and since you tried everything else I suggest a

Soft factory reset selecting keep games and apps.

When you do the reset be sure you have two things:

1. A stable network connection
2. Know all information for all accounts on console (email & password)

Thankfully I already knew I would have to soft reset my console once leaving the program, which I have done, I unfortunately used the words wiped and not soft reset.

I haven't had the opportunity to call the support team yet, I am planning on doing it this morning.
