    Twitch Watching quality lagg


    Hey Folks,

    I experiance some very annpoying Twitch issues and i would like to know if i maybe set up something wrong or ift there are any workarounds for my issues so lets start.

    Sometimes Quality jumps from very low to very high (up and down) and doesn't stick to one so that sometimes i see one scene 5 times in a row in 5 different qualitys.

    Sometimes twitch says the stream ended but it doesnt i have to start the stream again to continue watching.

    My DSL Specs 50.000 kbit/s Down about 16.000 kbit/s Up

    Horrible issues with xbox one conection

    Alright reset again ran 3 test. First was 60 dl and 2.4 ul 2% packet loss with twitch recommended quality at 631kbps. 2nd was 63.67 dl and 2.79 ul with 39% packet loss w/twitch recommended quality at 631kbps. 3rd was 57.96 dl and 3.08 up w/ 1% loss w/twitch
    recommended quality at 631kbps. These all had a latency around 90 no more than 92. Note: These test were ran back to back with a lil time to check on twitch recommended quality. So, no major time passed. Now will do wired connection to cpu and brb with results.

    G'day Schniebel! Sorry to hear about those issues. There are a few things we can try here to get this sorted out.
    Have you noticed that jump in quality within any other streaming apps or does it only happen in Twitch?

    For the quality issue, try power cycling your network hardware.

    • Unplug your modem, router, and console from power for a full 2 minutes.
    • Plug in and restart your modem. Let it fully start up.
    • Do the same for your router, and then for your console.

    For the stream ending prematurely, let's try one thing and then I recommend you contact
    Twitch support:

    • From the console's home screen, locate and highlight the Twitch app. Don't launch it, just highlight it.
    • Press the Menu button on your controller and uninstall the app.
    • Power cycle the console again.
    • After restarting, re-install the app and launch it. Try playing another video stream.

    Let us know the results!

    I am from germany as well and facing the same (quality jumping) issues.

    It isn´t stream relates because I have tried to watch different streams. It isn´t network related because my box is connected via cable and I have tried to watch the same streams simultanious on my computer where steaming in the best video quality works
    flawless.

    My Internet connection is 50k down / 10k up,

    I have tried the youtube app for half an hour now for this post and this seems to work good,

    It would be great to get this fixed, maybe talk to the Twitch app developers solving this issues.

    If you have other ideas what we can do let us know, your support is much appriciated.

    Twitch Streaming on Xbox needs an Option to REMOVE the OVERLAY

    Not streaming related but I really dislike how the new Twitch app handles slower connections for watching. Before it used to just drop the quality. Now it drops quality and also slightly resizes the viewing area/aspect ratio. Its pretty maddening.

    It recommend high for me but noticed a little lagg on PvZ, dropped the quality to medium and it fixed it, I'm on 3MB upload and 60MB download at the minute. Got a nice letter from Virgin Media last week saying there doubling that free of charge in 2 months,
    so i should be able to do high and not lagg then.

    Xbox streaming issues

    Same here. Got Gigabit Lan. Streaming works very nice with Forza Horizon 3 (downloaded from store) but stutters and laggs with Fifa 18 and Forza 7 (both disc version). Also i can set quality to low and still it stutters and laggs with those games. My PC
    sits directly 1m near the xbox one s both connected to same gigabit switch.
