twitch voice With out kinect

hi

no kinect plugged in, Twitch wont even allow you to voice chat via a chat microphone/headset.

is this something that will be fixed ?

KINECT QUESTION CAN I USE PORTABLE HD CAMERA ?

Hi have the xbox and only use it for voice commands some times i stream on Twitch.My question is the new XBOX ONE slim when it comes out can i buy just a portable web camera with mic ? like u can you buy for a PC build computer or Lap top so i can stream
on twitch some times whihc i dont do alot. would it work ? or would i still have to use the Kinect ? also is it possable to on xbox one to stream on Twitch with out Kinect ? Thank you.

 

Hey there, Shady Ox! I'm sorry to see that you're unable to chat via headset/microphone while the Kinect is unplugged. We might be able to fix that for you.

First, do you have a Kinect, or access to one? You will need to plug one in to change the settings that we need to.

Once you have a Kinect plugged in, we'll need to change the settings for the mic. Go to the Twitch App Settings when you're broadcasting. There you will see 2 boxes for Enable Kinect and Enable Mic. You'll want to have both
of those enabled. After you do so, you can disconnect the Kinect and the mic/headset should work for you after that. This is the only way to enable those options as they are grayed out with the Kinect unplugged.

If this doesn't work for you, or you don't have access to a Kinect sensor, please
contact Twitch to suggest that they enable those options while the Kinect is not plugged in. You can also head on over to our
Feedback Site to post a suggestion there.

 

This issue really needs to be fixed, let's hope that Twitch will be fast fixing it.

 

sorry to bump but thought it would be easier than starting a new thread. If you Enable Kinect but disable mic, does this just disable the kinect mic and will your headset still record your voice?
