Twitch Video Quality Unacceptable When I Stream

So I was planning on getting The Evil Within and streaming it for my friends and whoever else wanted to watch. I was then going to take the archived broadcasts and make it into a lets play for Youtube. But I was testing my video quality earlier and its pretty
bad. I have 65 mbps download, 5mbps upload, and about 24 ping. My internet is near flawless for anything else I do but this was just not worth it. It would be pretty smooth sometimes but when I was moving around in game a lot, it would get blurry. It even
froze on me a couple times and refused to let me end the broadcast. I tried both online in Destiny and a single player game in Minecraft. I even got out my 50 ft ethernet cable and tried a wired connection but it made no difference. I should also mention,
no one else was home to use any of my bandwith at the time.

From what I've read on the Twitch forums, a lot of people are saying there's some hardware issue with the Xbox One that makes it basically unable to play a game and stream at the same time without the quality suffering immensely. Lots of people were talking
about how they had 100mbps download and like 30 or 40 upload and still had the same issue as me. Kind of unfortunate that they based the whole console around being able to snap skype, twitch, netflix, youtube, etc and to be able to do cool things like that
while gaming but it barely works if at all. So I guess my question is, are they going to work on fixing this if it's even something they could fix with an update? Or are there any setting changes I can make on my Xbox or Twitch account to make the video quality
better?

Xbox 360 seamless twitch stream

Hey guys I just picked up a Hauppauge HD PVR rocket (got myself a **** haha) and I just tried to do a live stream on twitch to try it out but the video quality was horribly choppy. Do I need a good PC to do a good stream?

 

Problems with Broadcasting on Twitch

I'm having a really annoying problem using Twitch... No matter which quality I select, my stream is unloadable for viewers. Over on my dashboard page at twitch.tv/username/dashboard, it says my Stream Configuration Quality is Excellent, sometimes Acceptable.
At High quality, it is unloadable. Medium quality, it's viewable for a bit until it stops loading it. Same thing on Low quality.

I sometimes stream games on PC, and I use a bitrate of 2000 kb/s. Twitch has no problems loading the stream. My upload speed is 2.5 mb/s.

 

Not had that problem myself (150 down 20 up), what kind of setting do you have in the Twitch app when you ask it to test your optimal broadcast bit rate? Is it giving you the top quality stream or did you manually over ride to a different bit rate?

With 5mbps upload you aren't going to be able to do 1080p streaming. 10mbps is recommended as minimum for that resolution streaming to Twitch.

 

I just found that bitrate setting earlier after posting this and my recommended was like 480.00000something which is really low. It said medium or high settings would probably cause me to lag but I've tested both quite a bit today and it seems to work fine.
I'd say its a solid 720p and occasionally it might hiccup to 480 for a bit. But I watched the archives and my friends watched me on the Twitch app on their phones and said it ran smoothly so I guess it's all about the bitrate settings. Just don't know why
mine was so low at default.
