Twitch TV app on xbox 360 not working properly.

I can open the Twitch app but when i try to open a stream within the app all i get is a black screen. I have deleted and re-installed the app to no avail. Any other ideas would be appreciated since watching Twitch on is the only thing I use this xbox
360 for.. :/

Thanks for reaching out and keeping us updated! After further investigation I did see that others have had the same
issue. According to some of their results, the fix for them was to remove the twitch data storage:

1. Go to
   settings
   and then
   System.
2. Select
   Storage.
3. Select the primary storage device.
4. Select
   Games and Apps.
5. Find and select any items that refer to "TwitchTV".
6. Select
   Delete.

Then clear the cache:

1. Go to
   settings
   and then
   System.
2. Select
   Storage.
3. Hover over the primary storage device, press
   Y
4. Turn off the Xbox
5. Turn off and unplug router for 1 minute
6. Turn on router/Turn on Xbox, live should be up> launch twitch app
7. Activate your account.

Twitch keep crashing.

Seems odd that it's an ISP issue considering twitch works properly on literally every other device and app. Even the broadcast previews that show up next to the games in the xb1 store work properly until you click on them and it tries to open the app. The
360 app works fine also. The issue is isolated to just the xbox one app. It used to work but for me this seems to have started after the last update to the Twitch app.

 

Have you tried doing a hard reset? Go into your settings then console and do a reset from there. I would also attempt to press start and quit the app as well. Hope it works!

 

There have been several reports of this lately. Had one other person who was able to solve it with the delete/hard reset/install method.

 

Just tried the delete/hard reset/re-download method. It works fine on my end. I had this issue for almost 2 weeks and just solved under 3 minutes.

 

I was sure this would work after reading it, but it unfortunately did not.. Thanks for your help anyways! i'm not sure what else I can do.

 

I had the same problem and fixed it like this:

I went to Settings -> and signed in. You will need to go to a web adress with your computer and copy the passcode to authorize the app and then the streams worked. Without signin the streams did not work for me.

 

Wow! I signed in and it started working. I can't believe i didn't try signing in after resetting but I am glad the issue is resolved all the same. Thank you for your help!

 

Yeah it doesnt seem to be working properly. Im pretty sure they are testing a fix that should come out soon.
