    Twitch Streaming on Xbox needs an Option to REMOVE the OVERLAY


    First- I already contacted Twitch, they have said they agree on this issue. Sadly, they don't control the overlay, that is Microsoft. Which is why I am here!

    Many people stream to twitch and prefer/only can through their systems. I for one stream through the consoles and have had no real problem with the PS4 streaming. On xbox though, it's a real problem. Before the update (Which is amazing BTW!) I was able
    to glitch out this overlay by spamming the home button and bringing up the twitch app on the right side. Now, after the update, you can't do that. The overlay was moved from the middle, to the left. This still makes it a huge issue. It blocks something
    in almost EVERY game you stream. It can get in the way of things that can be crucial to your game too. They should have options for the overlay alone.

    Options for the overlay

    • Remove entirely
    • Change size/placement
    • Transparency
    • What it shows (Ex- Only show viewer count and red streaming icon)
    Here are some examples of the overlay being an annoyance.

    That is a default overlay on Xbox runs both on Twitch and Mixer streaming service on the Xbox. There is no removing it at all nor is there an option. Twitch doesn't provide any kind of overlay when games are broadcast through Xbox or Playstation. Its what
    already in place by the OS of Microsoft when broadcasting.

    Hello Chibi,

    Not sure how it is a Xbox/Microsoft overlay when that overlay is clearly for the stream. The Screen on the bottom is from mixer. There is a way to move it around you will have to look into the settings for mixer for that.

    Yes. They should do that for twitch and mixer too.

    It's hard to see what game is saying or looking the maps. When playing games.

    Hope they fix that this year (2019) twitch and mixer overlay better.
