    Twitch streaming issue


    Hi all.

    Have been trying to stream my gameplay to Twitch, and I keep getting a "So sorry, something went wrong" issue as the broadcast breaks down.

    I've checked all settings are correct and even deleted and re-installed the app.

    Read online about posting issues here, so I'm adding my experience.

    Twitch streaming issue

    Recently tried the built in Twitch streaming. Everything seemed to run perfectly until I saw that the bottom of the screen appears out of sync and blurred.

    Cant say Ive noticed this on other peoples streams directly from the console so Im wondering if this is something I can fix?

    Twitch streaming issue

    Yup, I started having the same issue as well. I can't get it to stream anymore at all.

    As soon as twitch snaps in after saying, "Xbox broadcast" it just immediately displays, "Broadcast fail...We're sorry something went wrong with the broadcast". Selecting "try again" does nothing and just brings you back to the same screen.

    I've tried all the usual suggestions multiple times with no success...deleted the app and save data, removed and re-added xbox from the twitch site, reset my stream key, etc. None of that helped.

    Twitch has been highly frustrating and inconsistent on Xbox one so far....for weeks Twitch wasn't working for Canadians and then it looked like they got it resolved but now this is occurring and I am again unable to stream anything. :|

    Hey, Grajy! Sorry that there doesn't seem to be an update for it. If you haven't seen it already, Twitch has a very detailed page on

    troubleshooting for the Xbox One    . You should try those steps and the suggestions on it. If you are still having trouble, go ahead and
    contact Twitch about this.

    I've been trying to use twitch for a couple of weeks now on the xbox one but I don't believe it has worked even once.

    Every few days I've been looking up the issue to see if there are any new ideas to resolve the problem but there doesn't appear to have been any new tips in a few months.

    For starters I've tried all the ideas on the attached link, in numerous combinations / sequences, to no avail.

    I've read the odd post online suggesting that Microsoft and Twitch are aware of the issue but these appeared to be a couple of months old.

    MORE DETAILS

    Twitch website registers that the xbox is a connected device and all looks to be in order from the website's point of view.

    Twitch app recognises that it is connected to twitch account and that the current game is active.

    I've tried various bandwidths for the stream noting that I have about 3megabit/sec bandwidth. I've tried with / without kinect option in twitch.

    The fail result is the same for both Titanfall and Rayman (to name a few).

    I can stream twitch videos on the device. Just can't broadcast.

    Tried having my privacy settings on either adult, or custom. For custom I had everything set to maximum sharing except for my real name.

    Broadcast options in preferences settings are all ticked (tried unticking / rechecking them etc / reboots etc)

    Uninstalled twitch / deleted data from everywhere / hard resets etc.

    The hard-drive is only 50% full.

    The unit is connected to internet via a wired connection.

    I am aged 32 and located in Canberra, Australia.

    No parental guidance settings.

    There is only one other user set up on the system (an adult) but they are never logged in anyway.

    Some of the blogs suggest people's issues are just periodic but on my system the broadcast feature has failed every single time - regardless of whether I leave the snap open or return to full screen on the game. (although if I go fullscreen it does flash
    a message at the bottom that streaming is active.)

    Before starting the stream, the game / kinect etc appear correctly in the preview window (although sometimes it has the kinect window in the wrong corner).

    The twitch website occasionally updates the description of the active stream but the preview window always indicates 'offline'.

    I've tried activating the twitch connection through a browser on either a PC or android device.

    The error message is identical every time. Everything in the app appears to be working fine until I click start broadcast at which point it displays "broadcasting" for about 6-10 seconds and then reverts to the message "Broadcast Fail. We're sorry something
    went wrong with the broadcast. Error Code: 0x10331196"

    (pretty sure that's the right code but I copied it off a website - the message is right)

    I have never seen any other error message such as "you are not an adult" etc etc

    I see so many blogs and forums regarding this issue I'm sure that half of them are user errors. Unfortunately this has meant that people with "real" errors do not appear to be getting heard.

    Reliable advice to resolve this issue once and for all (or even temporarily) would be greatly appreciated.

    The unethical nature of 60fps functionality on the Xbox Twitch application.

    that maybe the issue on console but i use twitch via pc and there are no such paywalls for 60fps streaming, either using obs or twitch's very own studio software which is absolutely free.

    twitch did not bother updating the app too much on the Xbox due to the way Microsoft shoe horned in their own streaming service.

    twitch was the original app on Xbox one for streaming then Microsoft changed the OS and banged in there useless platform for streaming (which shut down not long ago) and side-lined the twitch app, what incentive did twitch have to update the console app. none.

    Hi I'm having the same issues I can actually stream the game its says I'm not allowed but In the twitch dashboard it wont show any games so its saying I'm streaming to twitch not streaming call of duty vanguard I have to go onto a laptop or pc into my twitch channel and change it all in there it's like twitch xbox cant pick up what I'm trying to stream it's very annoying consoles upgraded yet still have issues this has been happening for months now aswell tet Microsoft still havnt fixed it

    Xbox Twitch app game audio stuttering and popping does anyone know a fix?

    Although Twitch tell me they cannot support this issue and MS tell me it's a Twitch issue: I don't think Twitch values Xbox native-Twitch app streamers. They don't bring any where near the volume of traffic to Twitch that others do. Anybody who streams professionally i.e. generates a revenue for Twitch and themselves tends to use dedicated capture hardware. The bad news is, this isn't a priority for either company.

    Has anybody tested native-app streaming with one of the other providers?

    If you are live streaming on Twitch you must use the twitch settings. When you stream on Twitch in a party everyone in that party must “include audio” for it to be heard on stream.
