    Twitch Mic/Audio Setup Help


    I've recently started streaming my Xbox One gameplay through the Twitch app. Of course I've come across several challenges, but one that has been persistent is the quality of my voice/mic on the live stream. It isn't lagging or choppy, but the level of
    my voice peaks and dips and even gets mumbled as if my mic is constantly being moved different distances from my mouth or covered up. I've tried boosting the mic volume to 90% or even 100% in the Twitch app, but the issue still persists.

    It's important to note that my current audio setup consists of an Astro Mixamp and SteelSeries Siberia 200 headset. I am also using an Elite controller. If you're not familiar with the Astro Mixamp, it is an external audio interface that takes audio from
    the optical out, voice chat from the controller, and sends it to a headset. One thing I noticed is that if I don't use my mixamp and just plug the headset directly into the controller, the audio and voice sound perfect in Twitch. However, the audio quality
    and stereo imaging I experience on my end is absolutely terrible. So I really don't want my audio coming from the controller. I am wondering if anyone has a similar set up that works. I am also open to re-configuring my setup with the current hardware I
    have as well spending a few dollars to buy extra cords, adapters, or hardware if need be.

    Launch The Twitch App - broadcast - broadcast settings - Mic Audio (Checked off) - Include my party audio.

    Another headset adaptor issue

    Thinking further about this, I'm using the mic for voice input but need chat audio to be routed via the SP/DIF output. Is that a supported setup? Previously on the 360 I needed to setup the sound to always play chat audio via the system speakers.

    Twitch will only capture audio for the microphone that belongs to the player that logged into twitch/the player that started Twitch. As only one account can be logged in at a time, that is the one the sound will stem from. You can capture audio from party chats, but only when people are playing on different consoles than you.

    I think Mixer had the functionality to capture the audio of two mics at the same time from co-op, but as far as I know, Twitch does not work with a setup like this.

    Hi!

    This problem could from many different issues, but the most common is that your mic is getting the audio from your TV or PC at the same time thato irsty Stream labs is getting the audio from the designated source.

    Make sure that your TV and PC volume is muted, to confirm if your mic was getting the audio from in that way.

    Confirm that the only audio sources on your streamlabs setup are the one from your mic and the one your getting from the capture of the companion app.

    Since this might be a setup situation with stream labs, there is no guide for this, but check if this helps and let us know it worked!

    We solved half of my problems. My audio is now streaming to twitch. However, game chat is not. Last week on I was able to stream my mics audio AND my IN GAME chat audio to twitch directly from my Xbox series S, meaning my PC and Playstation party mates audio was making it into my stream.

    That is not happening now. Slightly less frustrating but still quite.
