Twitch error code 0x00000003

Hey everyone!

Sorry to hear that the issue is continuing to occur. I recommend trying a few additional troubleshooting steps to see if we can get this sorted.

• First, try removing your profile from your Xbox One console.
  
• Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
• Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
• Unplug the power cord from your router, modem or gateway.
• Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console and networking hardware.
  
• Power on your console and Add your profile to your Xbox One console.
  

Give the steps above a shot and let us know how it goes!

I had the same problem, but i did this.

1. Tap the X-button and go to your recent Apps/Games

2. Select the Twitch App and tap the Menu-button

3. Select "Close App"

4. Restart the Twitch App.

5. Go watch your favourite Channels!

 

many thanks for your help......all tried the above from both mister quimby and sniperchickennl

but once again error code still popping up

oh well seems i can only watch TWITCH once a day

hopefully an update might fix this

anymore ideas anybody

Sorry to hear that the troubleshooting steps did not sort the issue, let's try a few more steps as well.

• First, disconnect the Xbox One connection from your Twitch account by following the steps here: twitch.tv/settings/connections
  
  
• From your Xbox One console, navigate to My Games & Apps.
• Press the Menu button and select Manage app.
• Select the Twitch app and select Uninstall.
• Press and hold the power button on your console for 10 seconds.
• Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
• Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console.
• Power on your console and navigate back to My Games & Apps.
• Select Apps and scroll to the right to the Ready To Install section.
• Select the Twitch app and then select Install.
• Once the Twitch app is installed, open the app and select Log In.
• Follow the steps to connect your Twitch account to the Xbox One.
• Try watching a Twitch channel to see if you are continuing to experience the issue.
  

Try the steps above and let us know how everything went!

 

Hello again

Thanks mister quimby tried all the above yesterday worked fine....

gave it another go today was working A ok...

BUT tried it again about an hour or so later and

Twitch error code 0x00000003 again

Becoming a bit of a pain in lower part???

ANY MORE IDEAS?

think an update of the Twitch app might help????????

Another solution.....worked for me?

Delete the app then reinstall it.......but doing this really doesn't solve the problem?

But at least it works at the moment

When turning xbox one off with voice command whilst twitch is still the active app. Upon voice command startup it ask if you want to resume Twitch, in doing so and going to ANY stream or Followed stream it comes up with the error code!

Something went wrong.

Were sorry; something unexpected happened.

Error Code; 0x00000003

All other attempts to rectify this fault go in vain. Have carried out the suggestions as above to solve this issue but they only seem to be a partial solve until the next console restart. This seems to be a return command issue with the Twitch app and requires
an update to fix the root cause.

 

This short term solution seems to be the quickest and best way to re-launch the Twitch app and correct the return command error that occurs (for me)

Follow these steps:

In the game or app, press the Xbox button.

On the Home screen verify that the big application tile is highlighted and twitch is running in the background,

Then press the Menu button,

Select Quit.

Relaunch the Twitch app and you should be good to go again for the time being!!!!

 

I try everything you guys have told us to do and still have the problem. Wish MS and or Twitch get to it and fix it. Thnx for the help guys
