    Twitch Broadcasting Back 4 Blood shuts down the Xbox


    I can reliably replicate this issue on my Alpha Insider Series X by doing the following:

    1. Start the game Back 4 Blood, sign in, and get to the camp (where you can do all your character customizing, etc.).
    2. Launch the Twitch app and start broadcasting. (I haven't tested if it matters, but I do have my camera turned on.)
    3. Return to Back 4 Blood, go to the campaign, and start up a run.
    4. Wait for players to join and actual gameplay to start.

    The exact time to failure varies a little bit, but it is usually within a couple minutes (and it's always during the actual gameplay; I don't seem to have any issue broadcasting from the camp area, no matter how long it takes to get into a game). The audio will do that "looping" thing when a game crashes, and the Xbox's power light will flash twice quickly, pause, and repeat that "double flash" about five times, and then the console shuts itself completely off.

    I can power on the console immediately afterwards, and it doesn't tell me that it shut down due to heat or anything. I can also play Back 4 Blood as much as I want as long as I'm not Twitch broadcasting. I haven't had any issues broadcasting other games (at least since the update over the weekend that fixed Twitch streaming with a camera).

    Naturally, I can't send a bug report from the console as it happens (because it shuts off). I've filed a report immediately after powering the system back on; I can only hope there was enough information left over to send any meaningful data.

    mixer is shutting down this month, download the twitch app and select broadcast from within that if you have an account.

    Mixer shuts down all the way July 22 if you want stream straight from you're Xbox on twitch download the app and broadcast button will be in the app for you stream that way

    Sorry to hear it. As for the snap issue, try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down. Perhaps that will fix the issue with the screen going black.

    No I just shut mine down started it back up and it told me there was an update for twitch. I broadcasted for about 20 minutes. It's a little laggy but nothing to bad, but it does take a quarter of the screen up, which could get annoying.

    Hi,

    Yes Mixer formerly beam is to shut down on July 22nd and merge to Facebook gaming. Before mixer they had Twitch in place. If you want to still stream off your console you can download the twitch app. Once downloaded you have to open the twitch app set up
    your pre broadcast settings then hit broadcast and return to the game of your choice to stream.
