Twitch App problem

l have a xbox 360 s console and when l select a streamer to watch on The Twitch app the screen goes and stays BLACK!!

l have un and re installed it with no joy!!

l have made no changes to any of my settings and everything was working fine!!

Any solutions to this please??

How much upload speed for twitch app?

Problem is fixed.

Had to...

- uninstall the twitch app

- delete safed twitch-data from the console

- reinstall the twitch app

- reset my stream key via the twitch dashboard (website)

- reconnect the twitch app with my twitch account

After that I got my new recommendation for high quality settings.

Hope this helps others, if having the same problem.

I'm. unable to watch certain streams on Twitch, one of which I'm. subscribed to. They just buffer. My internet connection. is fine and I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Twitch app on my xbox1 twiice with no change. Need help.

 

Try uninstalling/reinstalling the app.

No it does not sadly and l have seen other people have had the same problem and no solution has been given for a fix

Sorry to hear about not being able to watch Twitch due to a black screen.

This is some basic troubleshooting but it may help. Let's try to
clear the system cache. Make sure you select the storage device where you save the Twitch App and clear the system cache about 3 times for good measure.

Once you do that, turn off your Xbox, and unplug the power cord from your Xbox and the wall outlet it's connected to.

Try that out and let us know!

 

l have just done as you suggested, the screen still goes black!! l can navigate around the app all fine until l try to open a stream??

Ok, if those previous steps didn't resolve this particular issue, then maybe reupdating your console will do the trick.

Whenever you get the chance, try rolling back your reupdating the console using Solution 7 (as it's the fastest of the Solutions on that page) here on

Troubleshoot problems with an update to your Xbox 360 console. That should delete your current version of the Xbox 360 dashboard update and prompt you to redownload the newest one.

Give that a shot and let us know how that helped with the problem.

Thanks for reaching out and keeping us updated! After further investigation I did see that others have had the same
issue. According to some of their results, the fix for them was to remove the twitch data storage:

1. Go to
   settings
   and then
   System.
2. Select
   Storage.
3. Select the primary storage device.
4. Select
   Games and Apps.
5. Find and select any items that refer to "TwitchTV".
6. Select
   Delete.

Then clear the cache:

1. Go to
   settings
   and then
   System.
2. Select
   Storage.
3. Hover over the primary storage device, press
   Y
4. Turn off the Xbox
5. Turn off and unplug router for 1 minute
6. Turn on router/Turn on Xbox, live should be up> launch twitch app
7. Activate your account.
