Twitch app crashes when broadcasting and audio is out of sync

I steam directly from my xbox one x to lightstream and then to Twitch via the Twitch app.

In the last month, the app has kept crashing disrupting my streams, sometimes within seconds of starting and sometimes it will happen after an hour or 2. My audio is also about 20 seconds behind my facecam and my party chat. Using Lightstream eliminates this issue when I take my cam and audio from my PC, but there is no workaround for the app crashing however. (My PC isn't powerful enough to stream at a reasonable quality)

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can try the troubleshooting steps below:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear

Then select System > Settings > devices and streaming > blue ray > persistent storage > clear three times > restart console.

If the issue persists, try to soft reset your console!

Thanks, quite disappointing !

There are some recommendations on web to use Twitch app in Xbox and broadcast with both together - headset voice and game audio.

If Twitch app can achieve the same, why is Microsoft not able to allow an app to perform this for it's users?

When you stream through Xbox there is a setting in the twitch app to include party chat. But the party members have to allow their audio to be used. If you have “Party Chat” muted on the broadcast screen (it's in between “Microphone” and “Game”), or won't have the option to include audio.

I hope you are doing well today. Welcome to the Xbox Community. Thank you for reaching out to Xbox Forums. We understand that many users are attempting to broadcast their party chat audio via their Twitch broadcast.

In order to broadcast party chat audio, you will need to enable this feature in the Guide when broadcasting via Twitch. Once enabled, each participant in the party will then have the option to opt-in to their audio being broadcast. The additional party members will need to be on an Xbox console or using party chat via Gamebar on PC. There is currently no option for users on the Xbox mobile app to allow their party chat audio to be broadcasted.

Xbox Broadcasting: With the latest Microsoft Xbox update, streamers will no longer need the Twitch App on Xbox to broadcast and can instead go live in less time by broadcasting directly from their Xbox console. This update will begin rolling out November 16th and will be available to all streamers by the end of 2022.

How to live stream on Xbox: To stream from a live streaming provider on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, download the app for the provider you want to use. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide and select Store > Apps. Find and select the app, and then select Install.
