TV's information line (banner)

Hey bro...

The signature banner I made myself. Go to your account / forum settings to add a banner or signature tag line.

Banners come from non affiliated sites such as Raptr. Unfortunately it is not a service offered by MSFT or Sony. Your best bet would be to look up the net for further information regarding these said banners.

Like when you ask it to watch tv go to ESPN ect,ect. Is being eating at me the whole day since I see in the banner the msg saying. " connect your xbox 1 to your cable box and lift off" and by banner I mean the one in this page advertising it

Hi there. I'm sorry that you're having trouble with your Xbox display connection to your TV.

Have you tried unplugging and replugging all the cables on your Xbox/TV? If not, that is a good first step that sometimes relieves the issue. Unplug the HDMI cable from both the Xbox and the TV, then unplug power and all peripherals (Kinect, controllers,
keyboard, etc.) from the Xbox. It may help to do the same for the TV. After waiting a few seconds, plug everything back in and fire up the Xbox again. If the problem is gone, it may mean that a cable connection was loose or a cable is faulty. If the problem
still persists, try plugging the Xbox HDMI cable into a different HDMI port on your TV and check for the problem again. If the problem goes away, it may mean the original HDMI port on your TV is faulty.

If the problem still persists, try using a different video connection from your Xbox to your TV, such as the Xbox component or composite video cable (red/green/blue or yellow RCA cables). If you still see the lines, it may mean that the graphics card on
your Xbox is faulty and it needs to be repaired. Otherwise, the issue may be with the HDMI cable.

What is the model of this HDMI switch you are using? There seems to be some sort of incompatibility or fault with the HDMI switch you are using.

Common problems for putting the Xbox behind an HDMI device usually involve the switch not being HDCP-compliant, or it only supports up to an outdated HDCP standard. Ideally, it should be HDCP 2.2 compliant.

Another possible problem would be using older HDMI cables on either end of the switch. The oldest kind of HDMI cable can only support up to 1080i or 720p (Xbox One supports only the latter). You will want a cable that makes any mention of the term "High
Speed", usually printed along the cable itself.
