TV Tuner

I recently bought a tv tuner for my xbox and although it's good to have the pause. It's also highlighted the following for me:

• Be able to flick between One Guides easily – i.e I have freeview guide, and sky freeview as well with two separate guides. The reason for this is the difference in channels, and also have it linked to other rooms. However, it would be nice to have an easy
  way of switching between the guides rather than have to cycle through the channels;
  
• Users should be able to change ordering in oneguide, along with adding and removing channels – This could also solve (or certainly make easier) the issue above;
  
• The Media Remote – In my opinion this is such a disappointment. For a console that’s biggest selling point is that it is a multimedia centre rather than “just a games console”, this just isn’t upto scratch imo. The first points that spring to mind are “No
  numbers” – Don’t want to have to scroll through pages and pages of tv listings, I want to get there quickly by entering channel numbers. Also, how can this not be Bluetooth in this day and age?
  

As this is a new bit of kit there may be ways round what I have mentioned, but am yet to find a better way.

Xbox one s doesn't recognize tv tuner

hi

I bought tv tuner for my xbox one s and try to install it but after choose tv lineup would ask (do you have a tv tuner? )and can not detect my tv tuner. I've tried all usb port and restart device or reset the one guide, but nothing worked.

Returned the tv tuner and got new one but unfortunately still the same issue.

It doesn't detect tv tuner!

Is there any solution?

Agree. The Media Remote also needs to have A, B, X, and Y buttons, otherwise many of the media apps cannot be controlled!

 

Why dont Microsoft send the tv tuner as well as the one guide to Australia. Australia have fairly good free tv and we want it to. Why is Xbox One so sht in Australia. Why dont they release some of the features to us like...

• Xbox On command
• Be Able to link ur Satellite/Cable and TV to your Xbox
• Xbox One Guide
• Xbox Passthrough integration with Xbox One Guid
• Xbox TV Tuner
• Some streaming service like Netflix or Hulu Plus. I know we have Quickflix but it is horrible.
  
• Foxtel Play

Its already been a year but Microsoft are yet to release these features to us or even explain why they cannot.

Compared to the US and UK Australia are a small market but are still big enough to have an opinion and to get answers or change.

Good Job Microsoft just waiting to see what else you screw up.

 

Don't get me wrong. I love Microsoft and I'm a huge Xbox fan boy but all these missing features meant all my friends are going for the PS4. Because the PS4 is a better gaming console but Xbox is better for Entertainment so when they take out most of the
Entertainment us Australians are more likely to go for the PS4.

Anyone know when the Australian release date for the tv tuner will be? I heard maybe start of 2015?

 

Hold on, are you guys saying you can't jack Foxtel into Xbox One and get it to work?

 

Sorry if I'm being a bit slow on this but i have a SkyHD+ box and want to be able to stream my channels to my iPad (or for the Mrs to do this).I have looked everywhere and spoken to support and i cant find if this works with the SkyHD box itself? I noticed
it was mentioned in this thread and just wanted to know as i am the same and have sky running through the house and don't want to give it up.

Here's another thing missing: I live in France and VO audio (original language, without dubbing) is often available on free-to-air channels. However, there are no language options for audio as far as I can see on the Xbox One, so we're usually stuck with
the dubbed audio. For me, that means the Xbox One can't replace my regular TNT (free-to-air) box, which can easily do that.
