    TV Tuner in Germany with UK console


    Hi guys, I am in Germany for the foreseeable future, I have the tv tuner, but I can't seem to get the German channels to appear in the one guide, they show up when I do a scan, Radio and TV channels, but they don't show up after, it is asking for a UK postcode
    and I can't put in my current German postcode, is there anyway around this? I dont want to change my region as I am worried about losing any games I have downloaded to the XBOX One, any ideas? Any help would be much appreciated!

    Microsoft is releasing a digital tv tuner(UK, France, Italy, Spain and Germany) in October for users in the previously mentioned countries to experiences TV through an over the air digital terrestrial tv tuner. The prices are £24.99 in the UK and €29.99

    XBOX One Digital TV Turner Coming To Europe

    Microsoft announced last week it will ship software accessory specifically tailored for Xbox One users in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK by October 2014. The company stated the Xbox One Digital TV Tuner is a USB-based TV turner that works well with free to air television content common in those countries. You get all of this for $40. Customers in Europe will get more entertainment features and live TV through Xbox One. They will also have the ability to access their favorite shows and channels on Xbox One Digital TV Turner. Lucky for potential new customers in the EU!

    In a nutshell I don't believe you can do what your asking if your console is still set to the United Kingdom. You will likely need to change your region to Germany.

    Any games you have on your console will remain and will continue to function after the region change. After a region change it may not be possible to re-download some content again however, and you may have problems with re-downloading German content when
    you return to the UK.

    To insure you can keep your purchased content, I suggest you purchase an external hard drive for your Xbox One. Once the drive is set up, you can copy game downloads and installs to the external hard drive. That way you can keep your content, even if your
    console develops a fault.

    The Xbox One Digital TV Tuner is available for users in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

    So I can only assume that as Singapore is not a supported region for the tuner that would be the problem.

    I am exactly with the same issue. Picked it up from Germany, and because i watch UK channels via my local tv provider in Allschwil i thought it would pick them up. But because the tuner is hardcoded to the frequencies of certain providers and cannot do a
    free scan it fails. Have you had any luck with it? Microsoft doesnt stop to amaze me by imposing ridiculous limitations which nobody else has. ANY tuner would and should be able to do a free scan picking up the frequencies available and not fixing only to
    some.
