TV Tuner/Digital Converter Box

I recently purchased an Xbox One and am looking to try and setup my TV to play through it. Firstly, for those with experience, is it worth it? Secondly, is there a way for me to do this with a box that I can build on my own? I'm currently looking to make
my own HTPC, and was thinking that if I could make it do what the Mediasonic Homeworx does (coaxial input/HDMI output that works with the X1 like a cable box), that would be so much better and would take up a lot less space. I've heard that the TV Tuner that
Microsoft sells is clunky and has some issues, so I'm hesitant to spend the $60 on that.

Cannot locate iView as a brand to set up live TV through xbox one guide for my iView 350 STB Digital Converter Box. Is there a remote code for iView that will establish communication between xbox one and the iView Digital Converter Box?

It is worth it. Once you change channels with your voice, you'll never want to go back.

As far as your work around, You can not use the HDMI pass through with a home pc.

It has to be connected via some kind of service.

Whether its OTA or not.

Ah Ok. Thats Different. I should have said the Digital Tuner is built into our tvs with allowing access to this one free to Air Service. On older tvs a set top box is required to get the signal to the tv but these are not provider dependent. Each box does
the same thing.

Yes, you can connect a Freeview HD box and control it via HDMI passthrough.

Yes, you can connect an aerial to the TV Tuner to receive the Freeview channels and control them with your voice. You can see more on that on our

The TV Tuner can only access unencrypted terrestrial and cable content, not encrypted or satellite signals. You should be able to connect your satellite or cable box to the HDMI connection and have it set up that way.
