Just wondering how many of you are using your tv service through the XB1?

Keep losing TV after using netflix

I run my fibre TV through my Xbox One console and are a Netflix user as well. Everything has always run fine until the last week. When using Netflix through the console and switching back to TV it can never find the signal again and requires a console restart
every time to view TV. Any help/ideas?

You want to use the TV app on your TV through the console, or the TV app on your Xbox onto your TV?

A standard HDMI will get the Xbox on your TV but you will need another HDMI cable from your cable box to the XBox like a pass through.

 

I am I have bskyb running, I only get the odd glitch, But apart from that its fine!

 

I have a sky hd+ box running through the xbox, and it works great : )

 

I have BT Youview running through it, works perfectly fine, also use Netflix and now tv just need dlna next month and it is the machine of choice.

 

Farscape247 I have the same box mate, what output you using on the youview box I have tried 720p but it seems to have a slight flicker at the top and sometimes on channel logos.

When I use 1080i it freezes certain channels!

Just wondering what way you have yours set up?

LG 47", make sure the tv is set to just scan, I have the youview box set at 1080p and the 50hz setting checked on the xbox, no flickering or freezing.

 

Do you use game mode or anything like that?

Just so I can sort of copy your settings and see if mine works okay.

What is that just scan I'm not certain I have that setting on my tv.

 

yep, I have game mode enabled, but I also take the sharpness down a touch and alter the led backlight btightness by about 20%, makes the games look mint and tv programmes look a lot better then also.

 

LG 50' with a Sky+HD box running through and its great.......after the recent update. I still think the tv suffers from juddering whilst in snap though but the one guide works well enough. Game mode on.

 

Lg 47" 3d tv with sky 2tb box, working excellent, had problem with losing sky signal to tv but this turned out to be a problem with the hdmi cable between sky box and xbox 1, replaced with a high quality cable and problem solved.

 

@Smackupjack I just set up my Xbox to run tv through it and I keep getting signal lost, I will try changing the cable. Thanks for the tip.

 

I have tried using sky + HD box thru xbox and the picture is definitely poorer than a direct connection.

Does any one else get a poorer picture?

 

it is dues to using game mode, you need to strike a balance with the tv settings between gaming and tv watching, cant have it both way unfortunately
