    TV shuts off because of black screens on XBOX One


    I have a smart power bar. The TV is the master. If the TV goes off, everything goes off, including the XBOX. The issue is the black screens that occur during games. I believe this black screen is when something is loading. It's usually transitions in games. Sometimes I can catch it before the TV shuts off. If I see a black screen, I hit the XBOX button quickly to bring up the HOME menu. This prevents the TV from shutting off. If MS could just add like a loading graphic or something. It's really strange that the TV thinks it's lost power, but I guess with a black screen there's no signal. Anyway, I doubt this will ever get fixed. I could make the XBOX the master, but I don't also use the TV for XBOX. Any ideas?

    Hi IronArm, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    Please perform a reset on your console keeping games and apps to delete any possible corrupted system data.

    Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    Select Reset console.

    Reset and keep my games & apps.

    it has bands only with the xbox. I changed the TV about one month ago because the old tv brake while playing on xbox (tv had black vertical bands on the right side and then it shuts down)
