    TV shows no Devices

Hi, I am having trouble with the TV app.

TV Setup skips setting up devices (step 2) and goes straight to OneGuide.

When I review in the settings I have no devices showing and therefore cannot setup "Xbox, On" features or remote codes.

"Xbox, On" does not even turn on the Xbox.

I have done all the power downs, unplugs and even examined the IR emitters with phone and have found the burst emitter is also not activating.

I have cleared all setting and at the point where I think I need to restore factory settings to possibly resolve the issue.

Can anyone suggest how to get the Xbox to give me a list of devices to setup my TV when the Devices option is not even showing in the settings under TV & OneGuide?

    :)

    XBOX Video - TV shows?

    Hey Guys!

So I just created my xbox-live account, to be able to watch movies, tv shows etc. but because my account is a child/teen-account, I can't really watch any tv-shows. Does anyone of you know why Microsoft won't allow child-accounts to watch tv-shows!?!

PS. I don't have a gamingconsole, I'm just using my Windows 8/RT device.

What shows up for you under "Cable or satellite box model" in your OneGuide and TV settings -> Devices settings page?

    Permonius,

"I have done all the power downs, unplugs and even examined the IR emitters with phone and have found the burst emitter is also not activating." This I would consider issue number 1. Since the easiest way of testing this is within the initial setup of the
devices. I would be interested in the test results of a non-IR filtered camera. The other point of confusion I have seen, is there the IR blaster is physically located on the Kinect. It only activates upon request for an action (like volume up/down, or channel
up/down), and shows up as a white blip of light just to left of the X logo. Possibly forgo this for the moment, other question: are you in Canada? Let me know

    -Cheers

    Thanks XB1R for your reply,

I am in Australia, Done all those checks. I contacted Xbox Support today by phone. Apparently the "Xbox, On" feature has not been enabled for Australia and New Zealand yet including device (TV, STB) setup for same.

This is a feature that will be enabled in the future by an update.

I suggested that the countries which have this feature enabled and not enabled need to be noted on the support pages and to give a prediction as to when this will occur.

Apparently for Aus/NZ the negotiations and listings of hardware (devices) are still being completed.

It would have been nice to see this information listed on the site. Support said they requested the site to be update back at the beginning of December and were surprised this had not been done yet. Personally I am not surprised. We wouldn't want the customer
to know that you cannot access all the features because then they may not purchase their product.

Capitalism and the strive for corporate profits strikes again LOL I hope the shareholders are happy.

I will wait for the feature to be "Updated" in the "near future".

In regards to the test results, the lights look really cool on the non IR filtered camera. Pretty spacey actually lol

Thanks again for your consideration and reply.

Are you wanting to record shows from the TV, or gameplay?

If it's gameplay, you would need an external video capture device and software to record the gameplay.

If it's TV programs, no. Live TV cannot be recorded from an Xbox One.

    No images on my TV

if that dose not work, have you tried puting your laptop or an HDMI device in to the tv (to see if it dose the same thing) if it dose not show a picture you might have to service your tv
