TV setup wizard comes up every time I start XBOX

I randomly had the issue of no TV video or no TV sound when i start the xbox. Powering off and on fixed it.

BUT

It just got worse since i got back from vacation. now EVERY SINGLE FREAKING TIME it starts the
first time user TV wizard. IF i choose skip, i get a screen that says it cant display video. If i click start wizard, wait for sound (video never shows) then click skip it goes right to tv and works fine until i turn off the tv.

Its making me nuts and my wife more nuts because she is using a Logitech harmony and does not understand how to navigate this screen.

Nothing I do makes the welcome screen stop coming up. I came on here to submit a ticket for support and there support system is down. .. so frustrating. I think I'm about to give up on tv and move my tv back to its own input.

So now if i turn it on and i get no sound or video I cold boot it after going through the annoying wizard. But I have to go through the wizard every power up regardless... win or lose. Rinse and repeat.

I searched and have not seen anyone else mention the wizard problem which makes me nervous.

Spins forever during Xbox On Setup

I'm having a hard time setting up TV for the first time. I start running through the setup, see the TV coming through in the setup window and hit next. Then I select my TV type (LG) and hit next. At this point the screen says Xbox On Setup and has a spinning
circle in the middle of the screen. Now it just seems stuck spinning forever with a black screen in the background but TV audio coming through. If I go back to the menu, then any time I try going back to TV I get the "For some reason TV took too long
to start" error.

Anyone know how to resolve this?

 

WOw literally no advice. I don't even know if anyone else is having this issue. I almost never use forums for support and this is why.

 

system updates should have resolved this. if not a factory restore may be best option, as configuration doesnt seem to be saving
