TV set for Project Scorpio... ?

Hi everybody!

I'm already set on getting Project Scorpio at the end of the year, and in doing so, I'm taking the opportunity to upgrade my TV set.

The more I read about 4K and HDR and the different models and series, the more confused I get. But... I think I've found a set that would do quite well for me without burning a hole in my wallet: The Samsung KS8000 series.

My question is (and keep in mind I'll specifically be getting it to go with my Project Scorpio), is there any reason why I shouldn't get this TV set? Will it, in any way, be "incompatible" with the Scorpio in terms of 4K and HDR content, etc?

I'd appreciate any input on the matter.

Laughable...

You're complaining about Project Scorpio and you don't have or plan on getting a 4k tv for a while? Scorpio is a waste of your time... like Destiny. Anyone who really cares about Destiny plays it on Playstation anyways. You should move on.

There are some very good televisions that are available right now but if you are able to wait until around black Friday most of this years models should have dropped quite a bit in price and are generally much better than last years models.

I did do that last year for Black Friday, Cyber Monday (none of which are really that big here in Sweden) and basically, the entire holidays (Christmas and all that), but I wasn't really impressed with the prices on both new and current models back then.
And I'm not usually one that needs or wants the latest, especially when it comes to TVs. But since 4K and HDR gaming is becoming this "new big thing," I just want to make sure that the TV I do end up buying meets those requirements. Would hate to buy one that
doesn't gel with the Scorpio.

One of the reasons I chose that particular model as well is because there's a retailer here in Sweden that's having a flash sale on it, and the price is really good and better than I've seen since it came out (fall last year). But, again, would just like
confirmation that those particular features mentioned above will work fine with the Scorpio. It's a model that's highly recommended for the Xbox One S, so I'm guessing it'd work just fine with the Scorpio, but... you never know.

When I was looking at 4K televisions earlier this year the KS8000 was one of the models I was looking at but in the end I decided to pay a little bit more and get the LG B6 OLED model as apart from the lower peak brightness I thought it was a better TV for
me.
