    TV Screen Resolution


    When playing Xbox One is the graphics better on a TV with 720p or 1080p? Specifically, Fortnite. My son who plays Fortnite suggests that 1080p is better but I am not sure.

    I need to replace the current TV and I am thinking of going with a TV that has Full Array LED, 1080p and 120 Hz.

    Any suggestions would be helpful.

    720p is base HD, 1080p is an improvement by a long shot, but if your budget allows try and get a 4k tv with 120hz for future proofing, especially if you ever upgrade to a new gen console.

    What do you have your display settings set to on your XBox 360? I would start with 480p and work your way up to see if the problem is the screen resolution on the flat screen tvs. It sounds like maybe there is an incompatibility with the tv and the XBox
    360 on the flat screens you have the problem with. Are these flat screen tvs new? What is the max resolution on the tvs?

    1280x1024 resolution looks better than 1080p

    it may depend on the type of tv that you have. different tvs have different types of resolutions. though it may look the best on your tv it may not look the best on others for the same setting. 1080p is a more general resolution its always 1080p on any size
    of screen. but 1280 x1024 is a specific screen size for resolution so the graphics are more specific for your tv... if that makes sense to ya. if not I can try to explain it better
