Discus and support Tv resolution in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; my tv screen had frozen and i troubleshot it to figure out what was wrong, it told me to reset my settings by pressing the eject button and the power...     my tv screen had frozen and i troubleshot it to figure out what was wrong, it told me to reset my settings by pressing the eject button and the power button but now when I play my games they seem like im on an old xbox 360, the picture is bad, not how it
    used to be and even though my settings are at 1080p and everything, my games look poorly. anyone else have this issue?

    TV Resolution

    The resolutions are very similar, but the xbox one probably doesn't support 1080i because it isn't meant for fast moving images. video games and high action movies/shows are best viewed in 720p mode. P stands for progressive, while the I is for Interlaced.

    I need a bit more information.

    1. TV provider

    2. Layout (Set Top box (STB) aka Cable box hdmi Xbox One hdmi TV),

    3. Make/Model of STB, and AVR (Receiver; if used).

    4. TV or Monitor (like for a PC?)

    Please let me know this info so I can help you better. I am sure we can get this running.

    Same problem. Yes it does behave different when connected to TV. I can't get above 480 no matter what channel its on.

    There's a "doh!" moment in here - fast moving images makes total sense for games. Still a little curious why it wouldn't be available for movie watching... Time to upgrade! Thanks!
