    Hi

    I'm looking for a tv receiver/recorder that will work well with xbox one. Not interested in recording game play but has to record tv including series link. Would like to control it all using xbox including using voice control for changing channel and recording
    if possible.

    Can anyone suggest something please

    "Xbox doesn't record that"

    What are you trying to record? If you have it on the TV mode but say have your xbox 360 connected to it. It won't allow you to record anything because it thinks you are trying to record TV shows. Hope this helps! TV recorder :D

    The only way your going to do that at present is a capture card, I would think it doesn't happen at the moment due to licensing issues, and copyright, in the same way some games don't record the sound in Record That.

    Can buy any tv receiver to record so licensing is not an issue. Don't want to use the xbox to record. Just want to see what everyone else uses and recommends to go well with xbox

    A TV received hadn't got the options the xbox has, you can record on a TV receiver and upload directly to the internet, you could fairly easily do that on an xbox, and if MS wants to keep and grow its content it has to keep them happy.

    In the same way a TV PVR doesn't record the scart sockets it only records the TV.

    Are you wanting to record shows from the TV, or gameplay?

    If it's gameplay, you would need an external video capture device and software to record the gameplay.

    If it's TV programs, no. Live TV cannot be recorded from an Xbox One.

    It depends what kind of tv tv have and whether you have an external harddrive attached to the TV that can record the programme onto it. If you have a smart tv for example then you will be able to record live tv and programmes onto a usb or harddrive,
    but if you want to record tv tving just your xbox then you can record game footage and videos but watching live tv is currently not an option unless you have a smart tv. Sorry, hope this helps you out and all the best.
