TV Randomly blacks out

So my friend has his xbox one and he has been experiencing problems while playing Rocket League with me. He says that randomly while playing games, his tv screen will just black out and all audio will stop playing except for the party chat. Sometimes it
happens every 10 seconds and sometimes it happens once an hour. It is getting really annoying for him since he has to worry about even seeing the game much less participating in it. If anyone has any possible solutions, please answer and thank you!

If you are spliting your hdmi signal its best not to direct connection is best

Also use the hdmi 2.1 ,cable not a cheap one

Usually an xbox one will come with one

Reducing the resolution helps but dont do it unless you cant have a direct connectiom

Using a receiver or a spliter is never a good idea more.devices = more bandwidth is shared less for your devices

If you need your receiver for audio its sctually best to have all your high bandwidth devices connected direct to your tv if you have enough ports and anything low like switch or dvd on a spliter

Then from.tv.use the optical out to soundbar or receiver this way.less ports are used

Nah, I'm having this problem on multiple tv's. The only difference is that on MY tv the screen goes black every once in a while and has glitchy lines going across the screen randomly, on the living room tv the screen just never goes to the xbox menu or anything, it just says no signal and nothing happens and on my kitchen tv there are no glitchy lines but the screen goes black like every other second...

Having issues with my screen blacking out for a few seconds periodically. Sometimes when I turn on my TV it will just hang black for up to 30 seconds.

Controller will randomly restart periodically.

Games will occasionally dashboard and hard shut down- (auto resume doesn't work).

how is it connected to the monitor? maybe the cable has become faulty and therefore losing connection every now and then. I had an audio cable that used to do this.

Not sure if this is related, but TV started to randomly freeze for me since the last update. Sometimes it will just give a black screen and do nothing. Sometimes if my Dish DVR is on pause and on the screen for 15 or so minutes, it will go black and eventually
kick me to the TV app logo on the home screen. If I go back into it, the screen is still black. sometimes hitting play will load the video after 5 - 10 seconds, i've had to power off and back on again to get working again a few times.
