TV picture judder after gameplay.

mornig everyone. It have been having a problem with the quality of TV picture after leaving a game and using the TV app. It appears to Judder and skip. It is only after playing a game and the only solve is to restart the console. Now, it's not as bad as
the old 50/60hrz issue but it is not watchable. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a fix or patch that would solve the issue? It only happens after playing some games on disc. Appreciate any help or advice on this as I'm having to restart the console
more often than not.

Judder?

Logging in to the game today, the gameplay picture has a SERIOUS judder issue. Turning left and right is no where near smooth. This is also affecting jumping.

I've turned off my console and TV multiple times. I've unplugged all of my HDMI cables, nothing is helping. Anyone else had this issue?

 

I am having the same issue, and I also am experiencing a juddering picture when snapping the TV app when playing a game.

When I first start up the XB1, I have no issues, but when I switch back to live TV it happens. I've removed the XB1 from the setup to see if is a STB issue, but the picture quality is fine without the XB1 in the setup. Restarting the XB1 seems to correct
the issue, but what a pain to have to do this when switching between apps.

It's like the picture is losing a frame while playing making the images appear to be "skipping".

My setup is from STB to XB1 via HDMI, HDMI to Yamaha receiver, HDMI to TV. This issue has only started recently and I've had the XB1 in this setup for over a year now without issues except during a couple of MS updates to the system that were noticed by
others as well and corrected by MS.

 

Same issue here.

Picture seems fine until an app/game is launched. Then I see frame skip/judder every minute or so (feels like). Particularly noticeable on panning shots.

I'm in the UK so running 50hz. Its not as bad as before the 50Hz fix but is still very annoying - any thoughts?

 

Same thing here. Only started with yesterday's update. Picture becomes vey juddery after gameplay, but I am also experiencing it when first switching on. Very disappointing.

 

Yea, I am having the same problem, the pictures is so jittery it is basically un-watchable.

 

I first encountered this issue when updating to NXOE in the preview program, seemed to happen (as mentioned above) after playing games, on both disc and digital titles as well as apps such as netflix. I then decided to opt out of the NXOE update, which was
fun due to a forced factory reset, and the issue was fixed. Now that the new dashboard is live to everyone, I have the issue again. Very annoying although the sound is unaffected, which would make it unbearable. Only fixes so far are either restart after playing
games or (unrealistically) don't play games.

 

Here is a work-around for the issue.

You can try force QUITTING the game. However, not many people know how to do this.

After you're done playing the game, go to the XBox home screen, then hit the Right Menu button on the controller, when the context menu pops up, select the "X Quit" option. That will stop the game from running. After that, you can watch TV.

 

Surely MS should be addressing this problem as a priority, especially as xmas in on us and their customers are going over to PS4. This problem is really frustrating

 

Yea this is hugely annoying. I think when certain apps launch the One needs to quit other open apps.

 

I have just upgraded my TV to a Samsung JU7000. Ever since, whilst watching TV I see the Judder. My Last TV would only run at 720p, so I never noticed this before.

My setup is SKY STB--> XBoxOne --> Samsung JU7000 in HDMI1.

If I plug the Sky straight into the TV, if is fine.

Tried setting to 50Hz in the XBoxOne settings, but no different. I have also run through the full display setup, turning on Game mode and configuring all TV settings as per the recommendations, but still no joy

 

Glad I'm not the only one to have this issue. Choppy live TV after gameplay. Quitting the game before starting the TV app does not make any difference. I thought it may be my HDMI cords, but no change in the problem with new cords. My setup is BrightHouse
cable box-XBOX-Samsung 46UE5000. I don't remember having this issue before the November update (the UI update one).

Hopefully someone is aware of this issue and is working on a fix because it is highly annoying. I'm thinking about just connecting my cable to my TV for now.

I had this same problem. Couldn't live with it and now by pass the Xbox and go straight to my receiver, then to TV. Considering that the main attraction for purchasing the Xbox over PS4 at Christmas time was the fully integrated entertainment promise, this
is majorly disappointing. I am on Brighthouse cable, FYI.
