TV not recognizing xbox

Discus and support TV not recognizing xbox in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; My son bought a refurbished xbox one. He can't get it to connect to the TV.     TV not recognizing xbox


    My son bought a refurbished xbox one. He can't get it to connect to the TV. It seems like the TV isn't recognizing that its plugged in. Any advise? We've already done a reboot.

    I am having problems so the TV does not recognize the Xbox. I can not play because of this problem, besides not recognizing when it ends up recognizing that it is black screen

    Hey there, can you give us a little more information such as what tv it is? Does the TV work with other devices through HDMI? If it has multiple HDMI ports have you tried all of them? Let us know.

    Your TV is not recognizing the Xbox's resolution by the sounds of it. First, check to make sure the HDMI cable is connected to the correct port on the Xbox. There are two, an "IN and an "OUT". The "OUT" is the one you want. If that is connected correctly,
    try another HDMI cord as it could be faulty. If you have a cable box hooked up to the tv via HDMI, use that one to connect the Xbox as a test. Is it by chance a Samsung or LG tv? Also, try using the Xbox on another TV in the home just to see what is going
    on. Also, did he buy the Xbox from a retailer like Gamestop or did he get it on say, Amazon, Ebay, Craigslist, etc?

    Xbox one no longer recognizes my HDMI on my TV

    I'm having the same problem. My TV is not recognizing the xbox one thru hdmi but it recognizes the cable box and computer. I've tried different hdmi ports on different TVs, it's not working properly. Somehow the xbox one can still turn on and off the TV.

    it sounds possibly like the video card is starting to fail. i would check if it is still under warranty. if so, then fill out a claim and send it in.
