    TV Not Detecting Xbox One


    This is the 3rd day I've had my Xbox One and I'm already starting to get fed up with it. I had issues with it on day one, but eventually managed to fix those issues. Now I'm having a new issue. I go to play it today and my TV suddenly will no longer detect
    it. The Xbox One powers on fine and it worked the last couple of days. I have not changed any settings on my TV. I've tried just about everything from this Xbox One Support page:

    The one thing about that support page that isn't making sense to me is the low resolution mode. I'm following the steps it describes, but it still isn't working. I hold down both the eject and power button after completely powering down the Xbox One, but
    I never hear it make a beep sound. And if I did actually do it right, but just didn't know it, it's still not working.

    I also tried switching out the HDMI cable with one I knew worked and it still wouldn't detect it. It was detecting it yesterday, so I'm really confused as to what happened.

    The only thing I can think of is last night my Xbox One turned itself on. I thought that was weird so I went over and turned it off. Ever since then it hasn't worked. I don't know why it turned itself on and I don't know why me turning it off like normal
    would mess it up. If it matters, I have the console without Kinect.

    Any ideas?

    Its there but it isn't

    To clarify, did you previously set up a cable box with your Xbox One? I was under the impression your Xbox One was not detecting your TV.

    Xbox one HDMI not detecting TV

    First off, we got the XBOX ONE the night of the launch, and we never had serious problems with it. Until now. It was working fine the night before and today I go and turn it on and it switches to the black HDMI screen then it says it can't detect any input.
    We switched it to the other inputs and none of them are working. The Xbox turns on, along with the Kinect.

    Is it our TV possibly?

    try turning your xbox one on with your tv off - then turn on your tv.

    i find with mine when i switch inputs i need to turn my tv off then on for it to pick it up.

    My TV seems to detect that I am using a Xbox One. Try setting HDMI manually instead of via auto detect.

    Xbox turns tv off then immediately back on.

    I was having a similar issue with my Samsung tv and I just reset the tv setup and got the Xbox One to auto detect model of tv and it has worked from then on.

    Yep. I set the console to 720p using the TV that works, and then tried it on the TV that doesn't. Now the TV detects the Xbox properly, but displays a black screen. The second TV that I tried it on is a plasma one.
