    TV Interrupted by snow every 10 seconds using OneGuide


    Hi all,

    I've had had my Xbox one for almost two years now, and this problem just started showing up. While watching TV in OneGuide, every so often it will completely cut sound and flash the video to a multi-colored snowy screen. It's extremely frustrating as it
    makes watching TV without changing my setup nearly impossible. I've tested it, and if I plug the HDMI straight from my DirecTV box to my TV it works fine, and all the other TVs in my house are working fine at all times, so it's clearly an issue with the Xbox
    to TV portion of the setup. I've had no issues with games at all either. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Atmos still broken after Dec 7th update

    Following the December 7th 2017 update, Atmos is still dropping audio for about a second every two minutes when using Home/OneGuide/TV/Netflix/Hulu and eventually audio drops out completely. AVR is a Yamaha TSR-5830.

    TV Interrupted by snow every 10 seconds using OneGuide

    Have you tried different HDMI inputs on the TV if available?

    This may not help but it is worth a try. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.
    Once it is back up and operational test for results.

    Hey there JJ Sefton!

    That sounds odd! If this is the only app experiencing this issue, I suggest starting off by resetting OneGuide settings. To do that, follow these steps:

    • Press the Menu button on the Xbox One controller and select 'Settings.
    • In the Settings menu, select 'TV & OneGuide'.
    • In this menu, select 'Troubleshooting'.
    • Proceed to 'Reset TV settings'.
    • After this has been reset, press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
    • Power back on and set up TV once again.
    Try the steps above and let us know how it goes! :)
