    TV-G Movies on Amazon Prime Blocked from My Son's XBox Account


    Problem: G Rated and some harmless NR rated kids shows are locked when accessed through our new XBoxOne using Amazon Prime while signed in to the XBoxOne account as my son.

    Background: We have a PS3 and XboxOne here, both using the exact same Amazon Prime account. The Amazon account on the PS3 allows him to view TV-G and appropriate NR shows while blocking R rated material as it should. The Amazon account on the XBoxOne allows
    PG, PG13, but blocks G and NR rated material.

    I am left to believe the issue is not with the Amazon account, but with the Microsoft and XBox parental control settings. Yet no matter what I try, I cannot get his Snoopy videos to play. He's making me crazy with this.

    What settings must be done to allow my son to view Snoopy again using his XBox? Thanks in advance!

    Why can I not download or purchase videos on the Amazon video app if I have an Amazon Prime account? This was honestly one huge reason I purchased the Xbox, to watch movies and TV shows from the apps I have.

    Can I watch Amazon Prime on Xbox 360?

    Amazon Prime says that I can watch movies using my Xbox 360. They tell me to search apps for Amazon and upload. The problem is that I don't see an Amazon Prime app located anywhere? Any suggestions?

    If you have a child and want to provide access to:

    TV-Y

    TV-G

    TV-Y7

    TV-PG

    G

    PG

    PG-13

    NR

    While prohibiting the following:

    TV-14

    TV-MA

    NC-17

    R

    X

    You will find it is not possible.

    I called support. Result = NO LUCK

    I'm sorely disappointed.

    I have the same problem. I agree it's very, very aggravating. I bought the XBOX ONE for the family a couple weeks ago and absolutely hate it. I hate everything about it. I basically paid $400 to play Minecraft on a bigger screen. The XBOX ONE is not
    a device for kids, it's for adults, and if you are hoping to be able to restrict content to age appropriate material you will find it doesn't work - obviously I did not understand what garbage this thing is before I purchased. I've been down the same route
    with support and it just doesn't work. More Microsoft garbage that is "almost" usable.

    Microsoft stinks (not the word I wanted to use) - a lesson I have to keep relearning apparently so shame on me.

    You might have to block that from your amazon prime account on the computer, change your password for your account or remove the payment instrument.

    Microsoft has no control over the Amazon Prime App. Everything presented to you once you launch Amazon is entirely up to Amazon.

    There is one section called "Library" I believe that holds movies/shows you purchased separate from the "free" prime movies. Do you not see that on the Home Page of the Amazon App? I purchased the Star Wars Digital Bundle and I still see them on my Amazon
    App so I know it works correctly.
