TV for Windows APP crash on xbox one x

After further review, I have NO DOUBT that there is nothing wrong with my TV, satellite box, HDMI cables or settings. The problem is definitely the updated XBox One TV app.

How do I know? I noticed that the XBox One TV app never launches in 480p whenever another app besides the TV app is in the main window at start-up. In other words, if the YouTube app was the last app used before the XBox was shut down, the XBox will boot
up with the YouTube app in the main window (not the TV app). In that case, the XBox doesn't need to hurry up and put a live TV picture in the main window at start-up. What I've noticed is that the TV app launches just fine (in 720p) whenever it is not pre-loaded
in the main window and it is selected from one of the smaller windows underneath the main window. That tells me the XBox One isn't giving itself enough time to load the TV app properly at start-up when it's in the main window. Clearly, the system update
was designed to make the TV app load faster than before, but I'm afraid the extra speed causes a flawed picture that is displayed in 480p.

When given enough time to load after start-up, the TV app works fine. That also explains why cutting off the satellite box and cutting it back on again upgrades the corrupted 480p picture to 720p instantly. It's just giving the XBox more time to load the
TV app, and then re-sending the signal from the satellite box after it does.

In conclusion, The TV app needs to be updated again to fix this problem.

yip my system is broken ever sinse the new update and dashboard over 20 power cycles now as my Xbox locks up freezes and crashes games crash the usb TV wont work properly and crashes you tube and apps glitch the list goes on and
on never in my Xbox life have I had to physically power cycle my Xbox multiple times a day grrrrrr They have broken my Xbox starting to regret my pre order of the Xbox one x Is it to late to cancel

Thanks. I'm told the One S also runs Windows 10. What does that mean in terms of what you can do eg. Netflix, Youtube, etc.?

So , technically, all Xbox One console versions, the original Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X run the same core, which it shares with Windows 10

When it comes to what you should get, it's more a question of cost and what you have available. If you have a 4k TV, then Forza will be Xbox One X enhanced, meaning that it might look/run better on the X, but will still be compatible and run on the S.
Without a 4k TV, the benefit of the X might be as big of a factor to you. I'd take a look at what bundles are available from retailers and the Microsoft Store that might include a game you want, like Forza, and decide what's best for your wallet.

As for the apps, they are all compatible across all the consoles as well, so apps like Netflix, Hulu, ESPN, etc apps would work.

I'm having the exact same issue on the Xbox One X but with the Movies and TV app

i remember being curious if it was the xbox or my account so i did a test with my monitor and tv somewhat at the same time

Forgot to say the crash when pressing A is in the starting menu so I can't even do anything past that

if i have to use another account then that's ridiculous, it doesn't fix the issue it just makes it look like a convenient "fix" for ubisoft to avoid definitively fixing the game. my wild guess is their ubisoft connect app thing on their side is having a sync issue and why the game crashes?

I dunno but the troubleshoot doesn't work. Ive tried uno on the xbox one s, xbox one x and now the series x and after 2+ years i dont think those steps will help

Er well wont work I reinstalled uno again earlier on the series x to be sure and nothings changed
