    TV Flickering on HDMI Pass-through


    I currently have my charter box connected to my XBox One (new HDMI Cables) to the HDMI pass through. While this fine for the past month, minus the occasional signal lost issue, now when going to watch live tv, the input is constantly flickering. I did
    a hard reset on both the XBox and Cable Box to no avail, the issue is still happening. Any ideas as to what the issue is?

    The Xbox One S and my tv

    So, the flickering I was having with my TV was due to a bad HDMI cable. Swapped it out and the flickering stopped. Xbox still thinks the TV can support HDR but that it's not turned on, but I still can't select that menu option. Oh well, at least the flickering
    stopped!

    Can you watch live tv with the xbox off?

    Hi buddy you have to have the xbox one on to watch live tv through the hdmi pass through

    On your xbox one.

    So to answer your question no it isnt possible to use the hdmi pass through to watch live tv without your xbox one power on

    Having same issue with tivo from virgin. Picture is okay when full screen but when snapped it flickers.

    I have directv genie and I'm running thru one of the little boxes thru my xbox into my tv. DVM function is jittery and freezing since update. Making things hard to watch. Hoping MS fits this quick before my wife makes m buy a PS4

    But Watching Stuttering HD At it Best is Amazing! All That Flickering & Jittering Makes My Eyes Feel Nice and Minecrafty !!

    Yeah-Nah Totally SUX & Un-watchable to Those Whom Notice The Diffrence Between 1080p HD and maybe as low as 480i @ 50hz 1990 Jigger! LOL.. No cant laugh I'm MADDD!!

    Powers that be Could you Investigate & Resolve Said Issue Please ?? Not right away Just You Know Whenever 2016 ! TV Flickering on HDMI Pass-through :) Rant Over.
