    TV Commands Stopped Working All of a Sudden


    We've been using our XBOX ONE since day 1. We've had it set to send commands to our SONY TV without any issues. However, today I noticed it tell me it wanted to set up the TV again so I let it. I went through the "Guide Me" wizard and it successfully
    sent the MUTE, INFO and MENU commands. After it said it was done we were back to the HOME screen and I said XBOX Mute. Nothing was sent to the TV. I also tried XBOX Volume UP/DOWN and nothing. I'm not sure what is going on. We never had this issue before.
    I also tried to reboot it doing a system shutdown, unplugged, reboot, etc. Any advice??

    Starting to HATE the XBOX ONE -Slight rant-

    None of my commands are working all of a sudden ...I say xbox watch espn or any channel and it hears me but it pops up xbox watch tv ? and the channel don't change

    XBOX WONT DISPLAY ON MY TV ANYMORE

    This same thing just happened to me as well. It all of a sudden stopped working with hdmi cables, a/v cables, and doesn't work on any tv I have now. None of the settings were changed on the tv or xbox so I'm thinking it's in the system itself.

    I've had this exact same problem the last few days. Unfortunately I have not found any help that worked. I tried to reset the TV options even after I was prompted to randomly resetup my TV. I really hope someone from Microsoft can chime in or confirm this
    is on their bug list.

    Hi Dozey9937, I hope you're doing great despite the issue you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    Kindly perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware by following the steps below:

    1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

    2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

    3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

    4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.
