    Hi,

    I have just moved from the old Xbox One (the one with the brick) to the S model and I am having problems playing contents from BBCiPlayer, All 4 and Demand 5 Apps.

    I can access the website and chose any program to watch but then when it is down to play it a message that something have gone wrong comes up, saying also that it is only a temporary problem. But it's not.

    I never had problems with the previous Xbox, and still I don't, and I have no problems with other streaming services/app, like Mixer or YouTube on both consoles.

    I can watch the contents of BBCiPlayer via the internet App (All 4 required flash player and I haven't tried Demand 5) on Xbox One S.

    I have done an hard reboot and a full reset of the console but with no luck and I have tried all possible settings for network and video output.

    Anyone has any idea on how I could solve the problem?

    @smiles in Oz we have ABC iview and channel 10 app and 11 maybe? These function as catchup TV apps. Quite good but I run a twin tuner recorder on my other TV so I can basically record all the shows I miss anyway.

    Tv CatchUp Apps

    Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
    the console.

    If that doesn't help try uninstalling/reinstalling the apps.

    Thanks for the reply, Parity

    I have done the hard reset as you say, although I kept the power cord unplugged for a minute not 5, and it didn't help. I'll try 5 tonight to see.

    I also uninstall the app and re-installed it from the store, no luck.

    I then reset the console to factory status and gone through the all setup then installed the app from the store, but nothing.

  6. Are you using the apps from the store or trying to access via Microsoft Edge (web browser)

    I'm having problems with the app.

    I then access the website with Ms edge and I had no problem.

    Of course I would like to be able to use the app.

    Just to let know that I've tried again a hard reboot and left the console unplugged for a couple of hours, as a good measure Tv CatchUp Apps :), but it didn't solved the problem.

    Nope.

    I've updated the console to OS version: 10.0.17763.3065 (rs5_release_xbox_dev_1811.181121-1200) but no luck either.

    to be honest, i had already search the net for a solution in the past days but I couldn't even find a specific thread or topic anywhere, meaning that it is a very peculiar problem.

    I just gave it a try on this forum as last resort before returning the console and exchange it for another one.
