TV and Oneguide device control

Im hopping someone can help i have always used the device control feature for my xbox automatically turning my tv on and off when my xbox turns on or off and i just got a new sound system (bose sound 5) and set it up to do the same but even though my xbox
connects to it and it reconizes it the on/off features are not working and i’m not sure what else to try any suggestions are appareciated!

Hi Atlanta Chrome,

Can you go to TV & OneGuide settings -> Device Control -> Power settings and try changing your TV's control to toggles and/or discretes?

If that doesn't work, go to TV & OneGuide settings -> Device Control -> TV -> Enter a remote code and try entering these in to see if they help?

The Xbox controls devices via Infrared signals only. So make sure that during setting up the controls on your Xbox console, that the soundbar really turns on and off.

Then also make sure that you tell the console in the settings that the soundbar should turn on and off when the console turns on and off.
